well i think boddom used the older installer when we still use.. errr sakray? or was it ragray? i forgot which..
i had the same problem once..
can't see many headgear even after fully patched..
so i tried to DL the newer installer, full patch it, and voila~
everything is visible and no more random crash :D

I've experienced the same thing than you, but in a much more dramatic situation!

I got disconnected from server at 9h59 pm EST... exactly 1 minute at the end of WoE while I was in prontera's emp.... you can't get any worse than that... Bad luck!
