Windows 8 problems

I understand that a lot of users are having trouble running RO clients that are using the Windows 8 operating system, and although this method was set for [other mentioned private server name removed by GM-Patton], perhaps this will help users here as well.

[b]1. Go to your Ragnarok Online folder and open the ?data? and ?savedata? folder.
2. Inside those folders, there?s a file named OptionInfo.lua. Open it using any text editor and edit the default screen sizes.
3. Look for these lines, somewhere in line 48 and 49:

OptionInfoList["WIDTH"] = 640
OptionInfoList["HEIGHT"] = 480

If these are not in the list, just add them manually.

If this method does not work, try the following (careful, messing with the Registry is risky):


1. Hit Windowskey + R
2. In the window, type regedit and hit Enter.
3. Go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE > SOFTWARE
4. Either find "Gravity Soft" in here or find it in the "Wow6432Node", depending on whether you use a 32 or 64 bits system
5. In the "Gravity Soft" folder, click on Ragnarok
6. Look for the names WIDTH and HEIGHT
7. Doubleclick WIDTH and change the option to Decimal instead of Hexadecimal. After that, change the width to a number of your liking, for instance 1024. Then click OK.
8. Doubleclick HEIGHT and change the option to Decimal instead of Hexadecimal. After that, change the height to a number of your liking, for instance 768. Then click OK.
9. Close the registry editor and give it a shot!
