Haha, actually we've learned this in university how certain words can have a subtle meaning. Instead of 'you' try choosing 'we' or 'people' since the ambiguity makes more lenient.
Edit: try taking studies like anthropology and linguistics and 'anyone' (although 'you' in this case works since I'm specifically meant the reader) can understand what I mean.
