Wow, why is your folder so full of data that is not even related to heRO, did you used to have some other servers here? the full installer have way less files than that on both screens. My folder just have 69+3 hidden files and this is the most recent heRO full installer.

Make sure you put it in a new folder, only for heRO.

Ok, I've downloaded the latest version of Ragnarok and Sakray and updated them both aswell as installed the heRO mini-installer and fully patched it but i'm getting the same error (keeps saying something about "Job Novice" at the bottom)

I'm using windows XP and no i'm not trying to open an "RO2" client. I made this folder just for heRO so it only has heRO files in it, my folder looks alot cleaner than last time (when i downloaded the full installer) but I still seem to keep getting the same error. I've took a printscreen of my RO folder and the error that I keep getting:-

I have no idea what the problem is, I just hope we can fix it so I can play

Hmm. 74 files, including data.grf and it's updater.

May we get those screenshots in list form, so that we may see the file sizes?


(It would also be amusing if the heRo patcher/neoncube had screwed up right off the bat. XD)

I had something like this error before... tried for the longest time, but what finally worked (for me at least) was

Might be worth a try, but no promises, since just from the screenshot I think your problem was a little different (my RO window wouldn't even open, just got the error message)

The error message says novice because the client has not started yet, so you're not logged in, so the variable for the class is 0, which happens to be novice.

Don't worry we'll help you figure it out.

Try unstalling everything and re-install the full hero, let it run the hero patcher, don't run sakray, the full installer is up to date enough for now, just run RO directly.

If it still doesn't work, run setup.exe, take a SS of that. Try disabling sounds sometimes it helps, also update the drivers of your graphic card (unless you're sure they're up to date).

I'm not sure if it could have to do with your windows being in japanese, but I don't think so, have you had any trouble on other servers?

Ok thanks for the help once again, im going to try uninstalling and the reinstalling the "full installer" once again and if i still get the error ill SS my setup folder.

( I've never had trouble on another server before )

Right ok so I've re-installed everything but im still getting the same error, I'm not sure if my graphic drivers are up-to-date and i'm not sure how to update them, does it really effect heRO? Anyway i've taken an SS of my setup and 2 SS of my new folder:-

remove data folder from your new folder and try patching sakray and HeRO.
