Lightmap Problem.
For the record, two days ago my RO was working fine.

Anyways, every time I get assumptio'd, be it by another High Priest or by my own doing, lightmap always goes crazy and it ends up like this:

I'm using Sakray + heRO Mini-installer, and my Sakray is up to date.

Oddly enough, this problem started up after I installed the Demigod demo. Maybe that might have something to do with it.

This is a known issue and affects pretty much everyone somewhere down the road. Re-log or toggle /lightmap for a temporary fix.

RE: Lightmap Problem.
I'm assuming Demigod is a different game?

When it installed did it run a diagnostic on your video card???It may not have made you aware of this; so, I should ask you, did it set its own default video properties???Did you change any of your video or video card properties???Did it ask you for permission to change a certain setting regarding your video card?

Pretty much what I'm seeing is that installing "Demigod" either changed or damaged something regarding your video card properties.??It probably changed something and your RO doesn't know this so it's running its own default which differs from that of Demigod.??Go into your RO video settings and see what can be done there.??Without RO on this computer I can't really help you much further than that.??=o

Yes, Demigod is a different game.

Demigod has not run any sort of diagnostic test on my card, nor did it ask to change any setting, but if I recall it did install some sort of DirectX. I'll try looking around, maybe it downgraded some of my drivers.

message me if you wanna party

there is no quitting ragnarok. some day you will be back. back until the day that the game simply no longer exists. and then you will create your own version of ragnarok. because it lives in your blood.

From my own knowledge and experience, this can happen to absolutely anyone regardless of their video/graphics card or how up to date they are, and a few specific maps are more prone to have this problem (Geffen fields, Byalan B3 and more).

Like someone said before, you can use /lightmap for a temporary fix, or close the client and restart the game for the regular fix (everything comes back to normal). Merely going back to the character selection screen doesn't fix it.

Actually, for me this happens everywhere. Once the white texture shows up, however, it is impossible to get rid of (unless you exit the client and restart, but it's late, so I'll test it tomorrow), and it stays even after assumptio has worn off.

The odd thing is, I've never had this problem before this week. Thinking

And personally, I'd rather not keep typing /lightmap all the time. Also, it makes Aldebaran look absolutely horrible. Sweat

And I have uninstalled Demigod and FEAR Combat, and it hasn't done anything either.

Open your set up menu! I'm telling you, the fix could be in there. Granted, there aren't a lot of options, it's worth a shot.

You could, also, always reinstall RO. You do back up your RO every few updates and keep your install files, right? =o

Setup menu didn't really change anything.

I'll try reinstall RO, maybe it'll fix itself then.
