My nephew who was just born two weeks ago got his leg broken a couple of hours ago.??We just found out it's broke.

We (they, I was gone for most of it) were throwing a going-away party for me today as I'm leaving on Tuesday and a few people brought their kids.??We had all of the kids downstairs and Dominic (baby) was upstairs on his little poofy blankey thingy for when he has tummy time.??This one guy's kids (4 and 3, I believe?) came upstairs and started horsing around.??Before anything could be done about this, the 4-year-old boy pushed the 3-year-old girl on top of Dominic and it split his femur!??X_X

He was screaming and we figured he was just scared until he stopped for a bit and started screaming again out of nowhere!??After about half an hour of this his mom took him to the emergency room and we just found out his femur is broken.??Poor little guy.??He's only sixteen days old - doesn't even weigh 12 pounds - and he already has a broken bone.??

His brother who was adopted out, Ethan, had about the same thing happen to him.??Shortly after he began to walk and run his adoptive parents installed wood flooring.??He was running down the hallway, slipped, and snapped his femur.??My brother has brittle bones, so it seems to have passed to two of his three children.??=/

Apparently now our homestead is going to be investigated by the officials to make sure we're not beating the hell out of a two-week-old baby.??They're running him to the pediatrics center to test him for the brittle bone condition my brother and his son, Ethan, have.??I don't hope he has it, but it would help in the argument that we don't beat babies and his bones are easily broken.

I feel really bad for the little guy.??Livy (Olyvia, the girl who was pushed onto him), too.??About an hour before this all happened I was sitting with the baby and Livy came up and was all touching him and feeling him, being really gentle.??When Ziggy, my husky, came up and nosed him Livy pushed him away and said, "No!??Be nice!" xD
When she reached the realization that the baby was crying because she fell on him she became really downcast and held her head down really low.??Poor girl.??=/

Owww at such a young age, to get a broken bone. ^_^ I hope that everything heals properly and he has a speed recovery! Broken bones are miserable at my age...Just image at such a young age ;-;

Aww!!! Nyaa, I hope they heal, I love babies.. And I know how it feels to be "investigated" (most of my family has had social services called on them).
