Inactive Ranker Removal Script

Over at eAlthena their is a thread about developing a script to remove inactive rankers from the ranker list. As someone working towards the goal of becoming a ranker I like this idea. Right now lowest ranked person is at 157 points and the highest is 503. But are any of the people active?

The poll question is this. Should heRO implement such a script if it becomes available? Maybe even come up with something on it's own?

Honestly. The server's slogan is about being heroic!
An inactive ranker doesn't gain points anymore. You can easily catch up to him unlike competing with 10 active rankers/chemists/WSs that try to stay in the ranks. If you decide to become unactive on a rank be prepared to loose it, there's always people stiving to rank and one day they'll surpass you!

And as those numbers run higher and higher it takes long and longer for a new TK to become a ranker. 153000 monster kills just to break into the top ten list is a huge investment in time.

;| I think they should, people get banned and never play again, and it's annoying knowing those chars are there and you have to work like 10x harder to get to their level when they aren't even active. Maybe make a special hall of honor or something for them? :x

Rank lists are not going to be played with. They worked hard to become a ranker and as stated, if they come back, they should have that mark.

You'll just have to work on being ranked. From the numbers, I'm guessing you're talking about TK's. Consider yourself lucky. Thats not a lot. Check out the blacksmith or alchemist ranks. Now that is crying worthy for a new player.

I don't like the idea. You never know the reasons why someone isn't actually active. And they worked for their rank and shouldn't be forced to start from 0 once they come back.

An exception could be those people who got perm ban.

Is it so hard to accept that to gain the benefits of being a ranker (which are HUGE for TK, awesome for Creator (20% more pot heal ftw!) and great for WS) you gotta work hard? 15.7k monsters killed is more than a few but hey! there are 10 persons who did this and more. If you wanna belong to the top work for it! (else we could just make TKs rebirth into TK ranker.... which would s.u.c.k)
