Your 10 most underrated gears

or bone head + vanberk (4 str) with vanberk sunglasses (2 str)... you probably don't have to go crazy trying for +10 seyren this way. I think to heRO, sunglasses[1] is easier than +10 headgear, and that headgear isn't exactly a super common one either.

Add this to Ribbon Hat and it's +12 MDEF. Why is this card a hatter again?

4) Pope Mitre

Reduce Casting Time by 10%

And 7 DEF too. This hat lives in the shadow of Wings of Victory.
Is it not pretty enough for you priests?

5-6) High Quality Sandals + Megalith card

Sandals:
MDEF + 10

Card:
[Refine Rate 0~5]
MDEF + 7

Wool + Tidal/Vidar's aren't everything. Sometimes having MDEF is better than having HP but getting blown away by magic.

7-8) Eye of Dullahan + Ungoliant Card Combo

Reduces damage from undead monsters by 4%.
Gain immunity to poison status.

Gain immunity to the External Bleeding status.
HP Recovery + 10%

Tank Sekaru!

9) Lesser Elemental Ring

A ring that holds the power of lesser elemental spirits, but its true effect is unknown.

A warm scarf that is worn around the neck and shoulders.

They're universal...almost.



Basically these cards and gears go pretty cheap. However, when used correctly, they're very effective...

Yes, yes and yes. I love this card. I can't wait to put mine in a Skin of Ventus. I think more people like Whisper because you can put it in +7 gear, but you don't even need more def if you rely on high flee anyway, right?

It's because Flower wings are much easier for newer players to get. And even for high level players, if you're not one of the classes best suited for ToH, you're still stuck until you make a char of the right class or get REALLY powerful (this can take quite a long time.) Also, I think most people would not want to use up their precious ToH card slot on Goat Card when there's other cards they could be using, so in that case Flower Wings are still better mdef.

Yeah, this hat is really underrated. But it's just so FUGLY

@Kinny: Iknorite? I can name quite a few useful/good cards from Mr. Hatter's card list. Like Fabre, Female Thief Bug, Geographer, Picky (I put one in a sniping suit and ate Saiichi), Poring, SEAL (Warning: endangered species), etc.

Well I know that you could get vanberk sunnies, but do you really wanna spend that much money when 2 mantis rings are cheaper than 1 str core...
Not to mention how expensive sunnies or +10 headgears are or even bone head...
+4 str from upper mid Is so cheap with helm of darkness and a vanberk card...
Oh and 130 str that I made for my wife's LK does not use silly armor cards, just aliot and antique firelock inside wool+tidal..

Sure I'll concede the point that 130 str with str vespers (even without food) is doable, but if we assume the following:
Vanberk 1m
Helm of darkness 2.5m
Slotted sunnies 50m
Marionetee doll 150k
Str vesper core 10m (cheapest I've ever seen in vends are 15m)
Mantis rings 2m

You'll find that the str core setting would be around 10 times more expensive

130 str with vesper cores is 319 attack while 140 str with rings is 336. You use 88 status points for 15 attack, less then 5% more damage.

If it's a pvp/woe LK you can get FB instead of using a str headgear and have more vit. If you're a frenzy LK you could use a chick hat for 10% more damage. If you're a mobber/tank you can get more vit. If you're a BB LK you can get more dex for cast time or agi for aspd.

Most the stuff I think are underrated have already been mentioned, all I can think is Flame Skull card. So many people go places without using their shields lot since they don't have the reduction card. A 5% chance to stun, stone curse, blind or curse an enemy can really help sometimes.

As for Lesser Elemental, the downside is that stupid Monster Property skill. I've had parties make me take them off, because of it. D=

unless you have a vanberk midgear handy, imho a vanberk upper headgear would still outperform baby chick hats when you're dealing with enemies with more than 30 def...

imho the only reason you go for 130 str (if you do) is if you zerk, otherwise +vit or def or resistances would be better than wasting all those equipment slots just for ATK... a pvp/woe LK would definitely get more resistances, vit and dex rather than going overboard with str. Mobbers and BB LKs would definitely like more resistances and durability rather than str...
