For colored pencils, I use prismacolor.

Prismacolors are nice, we use those where I work for coloring in flaws on graphics we print

Prismas are okay, but I'm thinking of switching over more to Faber Castell color pencils and using Derwents mixed in. For me, Derwents and Faber Castells are easier to blend naturally for me, and I oh so hate using that blender pencil as it cheapens the quality of your shading even if you only use a little bit.

Guess it depends how you work with it as to which color pencils are best for you. :x

Fabrell's are fun, though abit more costly that prismas over here. But can be worth it when colored with the right way. I like prismas, there pretty smooth, but I don't use a colorless blender. <.>

I think you can get the smoothness with practice on any type of colored pencils. I did this without my white colored pencils( that's what I use to help blend)

though, mixing fabrell and prismas is what I used to do long ago. I sill use my fabrells for certail colors.
