but with friend list... i know when their alts is on too... and talk to them. which u cant do in CP unless u go thru the names of all 500 ppl online

The request was extending Friends List. I support a moderate extension. Mostly under the..."Why not?" reasoning. All the other options posted can be done. But quicker if they are friended. And unless it will put an unhealthy tax on the server I'd say go to 80 or 100 on friends list.

Don't make assumptions, I don't solo all the time. Granted I do it a lot cause I actually can't find people willing to do the same crazy things I wanna do and do it WELL!

Again, I have had nearly full friend lists before and managed to clean them up, players move on from this game stupid fast.

The number of people on your friend list does not equate to your popularity whatsoever.

By the way, I'm not against the whole extending it to maybe 50-60 but can it be done without source edits? That's the only way we'll possibly even have this change done.

40 x 12 = 480 people per account. That should be enough.

On the CP you can see who is online on the friends lists of all your characters, you don't have to log into them individually to check. You could do one character for wizards, one for bragis, etc. if you want it really organized.

Altough I think you're using the friends list wrong. I'd never accept a friend request from someone I don't hang out with regularly in-game.

Just because you have another 40 slots on your other chars doesn't mean that's another 40 friends.
Sure, that char can have 40 friends of its own, but- That's a different character! Not only that, but you have to SWITCH to them to check their friends list for who's online, and if you're on either a slow computer, or running awkwardly through WINE, switching characters is really quite painful.
And don't even get me started on the pain of having Firefox or even Chrome up at the same time as heRO on my ancient home box.

Second, some people like to use the friends list to note people who don't *suck*. Since there seem to be larger numbers of fail wizzies and priests and, well, pretty much everything out there, keeping track of the really good ones is a pretty difficult task. Main works great for a pickup group, but for actually gaining anything, you really need to know people.

Thirdly, a 10x on the friendslist is a bit... much.
I'd say doubling to 80 or going to the round 100 would be a nice extension. Hell, I'd be happy with an extra 20 slots =P
I just hope that this is possible.
