update: Deso of Eden is a no-no~

i will still keep looking but i will also poke around on RMS server listings and see if there are any WoE-active servers that will suit my tastes. if nothing pops up and if certain things don't happen here i might temporarily migrate to another server and see if i can come back more smarticle about stuff.

gotta prod at some other guilds first though. probably gonna wait it out until summertime when school gets the hell out of my life

If you do have to go to another server to learn how to WoE, go to officials. Try iRO Valk and join Kanon or Union Hispania (if you can speak Spanish). Hell maybe even Unbound. They're the bottom of the barrel WoE guilds that'll take and work with anyone (nice place to learn w/o pressure). I can say fairly though that all of them have more skill than at least half of any pservs WoE pops. Renewal WoE is different though but the basics are still the same (breaking and holding forts part).

convince me it's not a hair-tearing frustration like it has been the two times i've tried to play on officials and i'll consider it. if all else fails i'll try it, i guess, but that won't be for a long time :/

Hey Aedra, I had plans to give Renewal another shot (maybe making a Warlock will be more fun than a Shadow Chaser as a first character).

I hear Archers are fairly easy to make too if you are wanting to make a Ranger. Just let me know in PM or something and we'll try to setup a time when we'll play together. \o/

if anything i'd go archbishop (lol AoE buffs) or shura. or, hell, anything that'd be a good class to help you. \o/

Experience requirements in renewal are lower than in normal RO.
Also there are the Eden Quests, some of which are repeatable. Hopefully soon the quests from 85-99 will come to iRO so that will actually make our leveling days easier.

Archbishop is pretty good too from what I hear, and would definitely be a good choice for a first character if playing with a friend. I then won't haveta duel client! :D
