I find it ridiculous that we are debating this, 1k storage limit is good enough! I've filled my storage a few times now and its always over 900, but I'm well aware that it is completely my fault for not cleaning up. Making this suggestion is like asking your parents to give you a bigger bedroom because you cant tetris your way out of your storage hoarding problems.

Ohhh, possible Crash. Ok, I'll leave it at that. Thanks for the debate guys.
It's not that I'm too lazy to clean up, it's just that I don't really know what to throw away because I never know when I'll need a specific item for a quest. I know that probably 75% of the things in my storage have never had a use until now, and perhaps they never will, but it just annoys me so much to clear out a certain loot only to find out that it is a required item for a seasonal event later on.
But if increasing the limit causes us to crash then too bad.
An easy system I use is kinda like supply/demand. How easy was the item to get, how often do you hunt that mob, and how likely are you to actually do the quest in which said item is needed?
There are a lot of quest items I come across on a daily basis, but I NPC anyway because of how often I hunt that mob. No sense in stockpiling if the item is so easy to get anyway, ya dig?
My boyfriend and i have 6+ merchants holding headgears, armors etc etc etc we don't use for the moment but either sell or might use it in the future xD

Perhaps instead of an account storage space have character specific storage space as well kind of like the guild storage thing only you can only access your character storage on that exact character.
But wouldn't that be super annoying if you want to use gears? I mean alot of characters of mine use the same gears, unless i interpetate it the wrong way

When it's items i have a feeling might be used in a quest or know they have a use i'll always keep them at 100. ie. i have 436 live coal that are used for the SM quest, i'll NPC 336 and just leave 100 for anyone that needs them.
Tips for keeping your storage clean:
-Look up the list of items needed in hatter quest
-Look up the items needed in common quest
-Having more than 3 of the same equipment for a quest you wont really do is not very productive.
-If you have all the items needed for a quest and have the free time, do it, it will make some room and get you something shiny.
-Slot/Enchant/over up equipment you might find useful but don't use.
Once you've gotten through your whole list of junk and identified the useful things, NPC THE REST!!!
Even though it's kind of a moot point with the error thing, I'm just curious why people would be opposed to this idea at all. If you don't want to save all your items, don't. Just because the storage limit increases doesn't mean you have to use it...
