i read the manga when scanilations started coming out.. it was brilliant.. watching the anime now too, its good, but it doesnt have the same vibe as the manga if you ask me..

it never does =], manga allows people to imagine and create more then animes, and that is very special. Animes are very good too, but nothing is like reading =].

I just watched episode 1-37 straight through on youtube (excluding the time I passed out from exhaustion at like..noon? Holy shit Death note is awesome. Dx

Though I must say, my favorite characters are still L and Ryuuk. Its cool how Lighht is like a mastermind and all, but I just don't see him as worthy of god status.

Yes, DN is a great series. Lots of tense battle of the wits!!
Although i didn't like how <spoiler> L died halfway through the whole series </spoiler>.
If you liked DN, i suggest reading stuff like Monster. Another excellent manga

you must admit, Death Note is a very addicting anime, no matter how gruesome =O

but yeah, i must admit it is one of the greatest animes i have ever seen.
