Hmmm.. No offence to anyone, but I just find it funny that this image:

taking a maximum of 20 minutes to do (if you do it right) could beat this image:

Which would take at least a few days maybe even a week or longer to look that good (depending on how good you are with photoshop).

I personally think a server-wide vote would've been the better option.

Still, as I've said before, this is not a democracy but a dictatorship.
They were not looking more for original ideas rather than "perfection".
Anyways they all did good work.
And "beauty is in the eye of the beholder" so perhaps they see something more to it than you or I?

I said the winner is not based on who is having the best photoshop skills but more on who is original and is having a concept. I can't penalize people who has less skills than another one.

Also I think you can't evaluate the time it took for people who did their images. Maybe you would take 1 week to do something like Cessy, maybe I would take 30 mins. It depends on each person's skills. Samething for the smith image.

(That doesn't mean we'll never choose Cessy's alike art.)

About the server voting, first of all this would be a REAL PAIN to handle and also we want the final word on what is going on the server.

I think a server wide vote would be what to do next time because we are the ones playing on the server... =P

GMs could give awards to whomever they want but the people playing on the server should vote.

I'll reserve my opinion about the decisions themselves but I agree the players should pick the winners since we're the ones who are going to be looking at these things most of the time.
