RE: Population Record
just a random thought but maybe the random lag everyones getting (if i'm the only one getting the lag then sorry) is because of the major grow in population recently

RE: Population Record
we already took that in to consideration, and tried increasing the computer's memory to fix the problem, but it didn't seem to help much.

RE: Population Record
Increasing the memory alone won't help. Nor will increasing the processing power of the machine running the server. What the problem is, is too many people connecting to pandora's home line and it's choking the mess out of it. Not only is the data being processed properly, but it's also not shipping as efficiently as it needs to be.

I suppose the hard drive might have something to do with it, though the only probable step-up would be solid state. Reminds me of when EVE Online rennovated their server with solid state hard drives oh so long ago >___>

RE: Population Record
No actually it doesnt seem to be the connection, but the processor and hard drive, at least according to the monitoring system on the server. There is a maintenance planned for next saturday which should tell.
