Suggestion: Newbie Quests

As of plans so far, it's more an intro to the server and not RP based. Maybe when we make another one for choosing the allegiance it'll be RP, but the one we are looking at now is not RP related.

yeah, that could be done... maybe all will start from prontera and they are assigned to take parcels or sumtin... the shady ones may go to morocc while the righteous ones go to geffen or sumtin...

There are some official quests provided by Gravity that allow new players to get some basic gears...but of course they provide no direction for finding these!

Strangely enough the merchant one does not give you any gear piece at all like the others *sighs* These prizes on these kind of suck but at least it is a starting point right?

I've found those quests tend to get you your first several levels, not that it helps, with how easy those first few levels are.

well i think the quests aaronock pointed out are quite good, and i think i get what she's pointing us at....

it's just that after reading the links she gave me my impression was:
the rewards should seriously be improved... the amount of time and or mandatory skill points etc needed to complete the quests warrant better items...

Aaron is a she. I developped my idea further and scripted it, it's not too fancy but should be a decent quest at low level, we'll start testing it today and if it's bug-free might get added to the server within a week.

One time I was Aaronock0814 or something like that and was a kewt widdle girl novice in some novice event.

Also glad to hear the scripting for this quest already is being processed. It shouldn't be too much hopefully XD

personally, screw low level noob quests.

an average player spends maybe 10 minutes to get job 10 and at most a few hours to get to job 50 right? a veteran will be something like 70/50 in 2-3 hours. unless you get something REALLY valuable from these newbie quests that makes it actually worth it*, their time is better off spent levelling so they can do other quests and participate in more events.

(now ayu will come blast me saying people play for fun not just efficiency but seriously the low level days is like less than 1% of a player's time on any server)

*-impossible because veterans would be abusing it.

The quest is also gonna provide a sort of introduction to heRO, while also making starting up a little easier (not that it's very hard).
