That would suck. Thinking
actually, it'd be a true test on who would have a more offensive build without??relying on equipment TK's would do well in that essence.
Novice PvP is better then.

I prefer to fight at your maximum power.

RE: PvP Tournament
Low level equips ruin a lot of builds who rely on equips for stat breakpoints. Nubbing the equips is probably going to make even less people show up.

And that's why I never host PvP (even if my connection allows)... unless I'm forced to.

RE: PvP Tournament
I think the posts Above already state that Nubing down the gears would just make the pvp a complete failure, as a Stunner/Hybrid Knight, i rely a lot on my WS Wepons Icon_cry
Making us use default Gears would only give a huge advantage to the "NaturallyPowerfull" clases like Tks/SGs/Saders/Champs.

Lets say i fight against a a Monk without myregular Gears nor my Hiding Clip, both of us would be using basic unupgraded Armors and lvl1 Wepons. Asura would still pwn me, Finger Offensive would still pwn me. Investigate would do like >2K with only my 50 Vit.

And lets not talk about Mages....

No, just no.

I am in favor of restricting Healing items though. :D

RE: PvP Tournament
Ok, I see ur point.
What about Class vs Class?
Monk and priest vs monk and priest
Knight and priest vs knight and priest

Street Minista vs Everyone
XD

And why does the pvp gear have to be knifes?
Why not have an npc or player vendor that allows you to get basic equips for the build that your in?

RE: PvP Tournament
I would be willing to host a PvP Tournament at some point in the future if there is enough player interest. We can debate restrictions all day and, as Ayu has said to me, people will still be unhappy. As soon as you put any restrictions on a PvP match someone will whine that it nerfs their class more than the others (and they will probably be right). But if you put no restrictions on the match, then classes with high carry weight bring like 150 Dories and spam them until everyone else gets bored. Don't even get me started on Whitesmith in PvP with Dory/Nemo.

The bottom line is, before I would be willing to host a PvP Tournament, I would want this thread to be a lot bigger, with more particpants, and for the community to reach a consensus on what should / should not be allowed.

RE: PvP Tournament
Actually, if the server can come to an agreement on a set of "universal pvp tournament rules" beforehand that GM can easily follow instead of each individual GM making his/her own set of pvp rules, then things will get far less complicated and we can actually host one of these things without being scolded and verbally abused everywhere we go for the week after trying to host anything pvp.

But what do you classify as "noob gears"?
You could do certain builds without having certain gears.
Here's some things we should do before something like this could become big.

-make a poll on what kinda equips we want as (PvP eqiuips)
-Make a poll if we want PvP equips or not.

Also, do you think the idea of having a class battles is good idea?
An example would be
Priest & Knight vs Priest & Knight
High Priest & Whitesmith vs High Priest & Whitesmith

I really think everything could become a little better, if we match each other with against there own classes.
But thats just my opinion.

Like GM Belial said, we need other people to be active if we want this to be in affect.
