GM-Ayu Wrote:...or that it's to balance out how not everything is "applied by the ratio directly." Afterall, you gain 5x the exp, but your death is only 1% loss either way instead of the mathematical equivalence of 5% loss each death.
5/5/3 doesnt mean base exp gain rate x5, job exp gained x5, drop rate x3?
silly me.
base exp x5 means all incoming base exp should be muiltiplied by 5. death loss isnt a numerical value, its just whatever 1% is. rate has no effect on that.
and yea basically all exp quests just got useless by a factor of 5 ignoring the other quest products.

for me it's the opposite krim, it's far faster for me to do questing than grinding, then again most of the characters i make don't have a real way of mobbing easily without dying a whole lot or some such, and then there's the lack of partying which sucks it out of you as well.
nah, i just usually take the more obscure builds in a class and play with them, though i'm not that great at it and usually can't make the money and items to fix any mistakes i make, so questing helps with those levels i have a hard time gaining because the exp is so rediculously low
Nah, questing is a rest of the overwhelming training, just like PvP or non-Kiel MvPs. Remember, this is a game, it was made for have fun. Not to be a 99/70 uber geared beast. (Even if that is fun too)
