You're a noob when you are incapable of talking using proper grammar and proper punctuation. (In the language of your country of course).

Good thing in Vietnamese there isn't "proper" grammar.

Example. Let's take the word eat. Some examples of tenses in English would be as follows:
Yesterday I ATE. Today I EAT. Tomorrow I WILL EAT.
Now, let's have those same sentences be translated from Vietnamese:
Yesterday I eat. Today I eat. Tomorrow I eat.

Then again...there are seven accent marks in this language. One missed accent mark...*shudders*

So you know you're a noob when you don't take a language class at school with your native tongue because you think you'll fail.
