The initial Argument is about the Privacy of Birth and re-birth. That has nothing to do with it.
And was stated above, THERE IS NO PRIVACY. It's right on the CP for anyone to see IF they choose to look.
Removing the Announcements would change squat.
Theres a huge difference from actually stalking the char trough CP than to getting the info trown in your face by a golden message.
I like to think most people don't go that far.
