Usually guilds don't wind up passing armory type items to players first day they are in a guild. They don't give large amounts of zeny and things for good reason. Most guilds have high turnover rates on players, and this is because a majority of players who join the server do not wind up becoming active members of the community. It would be a pain in the ass to wind up losing items and/or large amounts of zeny trying to help every new guy in their guild.

You basically have to work your way up the ladder in a guild and gain the active member's trust before they will do huge favors for you.

Sounds to me whoever you were with (I know who but I am choosing to not call them out) did a pretty good job for someone who was NEW to their guild. They took the time to fire endow your weapons, and maybe they didn't answer all your questions, but maybe they were all afk, or busy, or any other number of things. You could ask questions on the forum, or when you had access to their forum, you could ask them too. You also have main channel, and you have other online resources. RO is a game where 90% of the skill you gain is done by your own wits end.
