Pets loose loyalty if you die and you have it out. Ive lost a few porings that way. Other then feeding im not to sure of any other way to raise the loyalty

And yes the skills are implimented on the pets. Like Lunatic gives the extra boost to luck every now and then, Isis casts Mag (I believe if your close to death).
