All kinds of stuff to find out and do research on. With a server like ours where the amount of custom stuff is pretty high, the nicer it is to do research.
But maybe its just me, i like to read things about a class and think of possibilities and experiment with it. Going for a good build that suits what you wanna do with a class can take days/months/years to optimize.
A beginner's guide is just a way to introduce someone to a class, with giving as much freedom to experiment as possible but that is just my opinion. You can disagree of course but the way this guide is turning now its no longer a beginners guide as it starts to get more and more specific.
