Considering that most ToHs, The GM team are always pretty much trying to give archer classes a hard time (and the rest of the classes tend to suffer the consequences as well, it's like trying to "Tiger Proof" a golf course) since people usually just cruise through with their Pew-pew bots and get massive amounts of points consistantly. If the snipers had a hard time and the rest of the classes didn't I'm all for it.
Usually they'd consist of Golem (or High HP/High Def) monsters that have access to Endure or are boss flagged to try to close that distance between the archer and themselves. Some of them would have really high accuracy or attack power and just snap right to the archer.
So far, I see round 1 had monsters with plant def, so they took 1 damage from everything. Round 2 had Monsters that Pneuma (I like, the snipers would have to play smart if they wanted to get the gold that round, like shove them all in a corner with phantasmic arrow and use a claymore trap or something). Round 3 had Wall of Fog Combo monks known as ryncho, they always seem to hit me kinda hard. Round 4 had Dark shadow, who are always annoying regardless of who's facing it, and I'm not sure what that final boss was, as I wasn't actually there.
As far as trivia goes....
I was under the impression that skills casted through Abracadabra had their catalysts removed. I know I've casted venom dust without any red gemstones and laid down various assortments of traps without any traps on hand with abra.
