Beginner need's guidance

For a monk, I was recommended to heal bomb Firelocks until job 50 and then some 20-30 odd levels afterwards also when I became a monk. Personally it only took about two days.

Leveling like that unfortunately requires reset at some point in the monk levels tho. Getting occult impact and leveling off of enemies with high defense like in turtle island also seems to be very effective at your higher levels, although I'm not exactly sure on simple leveling ways that don't require a chain geared towards that type of monster. It has been a while since I've played a monk ._.
