Help!!

Hi,

I am doing the Sign Quest, and I'm at the "Klaatu, Verrata, Nictu" part.
I made this sequence many times (an approximate number would be over 50) and still the NPC wouldn't give me the witch book.

I followed the guide of iro wiki, and quite frankly, I don't know what to do anymore.

To make matters worse, the spirit told me some times that I did broke the curse , that he couldn't die, and still denied me the book.

I need insight, for I shall be denied no longer.
