Reduce lag if you have any

Damosel Wrote:Hi everyone,

This information was based on things I have read directly from the eA support board to help reducing the lag you might feel sporadicly. This is to reduce your lag, if it's server side this will not solve your issue.

I was having major lag issues at some point but ever since i started doing this, i'm not having any more big lag issues, unless they are server side.

Anyways, in your ro folder, you will have a folder called _tmpEmblem. The files found in the folder can be compared to temp Internet files/cookies, more you browse more they accumulate. It's the same with RO, those files are useless and can cause serious lag issues.

Usual folder path:

C:\Program Files\Gravity\RO\_tmpEmblem

Simply select ALL the files and DELETE them, close your client and re-open it. Expect your folder to contain 500+ even 1k+ files in there, might even lag to load that folder the first time you open it. You will see an improvement almost instantly. Repeat this on a weekly basis. For this to be even more efficient, do it whenever you start feeling some lag, in other words for some cases, everyday.

Hopefully this information will help many of you reducing your lag issues.

Also, this is pretty interesting : http://forums.irowiki.org/showthread.php?t=19534
