I finally got the new computer for the server, I made the deposit over 5 weeks ago D:

It's a rackmount (2U) instead of being a tower computer, that's why it took so long, the casing had to be ordered and apparently the supplier is abysmally slow.

The server is not currently running on it mind you, it's still on the old computer for now. I'll have to set up a time for a maintenance for the transfer and the next few days are not looking like I'll have time to do that. I'll set up a test server first, and once everything is stable and working I'll put the real server on it.



For those who are wondering about the techy mumbo jumbo, here it is:

Intel Duo-Core 2 E8400 3 Ghz FSB 1333 Mhz 6 MB cache
Asus Motherboard
4 GB of memory DDRII PC 6400 (2x2Gig)
320 GB hard drive

It has 3 fans and it makes an awful lot of noise, I'm glad this baby is not staying home for long, I'll get it to a hosting facility soon enough.
