Fishing Guide!

heRO has it's own custom Fishing system mostly written by yours truly ^_^ (Inspired from the Mining system). With the fishing you can find all sorts of fish that heal hp/sp and even unexpected stuff! Please note that fish can not be used inside War of Emperium castles.

First, you will need to learn how to fish. Head to Prontera Field 4, that's 2 maps west of Prontera. Talk to the Fishing Man, he will give you a quest.



I'll be nice, I'll give you the list of items here and which monster drops them:

10 fine-grained trunks (Willow)
20 thin trunks (Parasite)
5 tough vines (Dryad)
20 sticky mucus (Many monsters including: Poporing, Hode, Orc Zombie, Zenorc)
1 metal fragment (Apocalypse, Vesper)

Once you've brought back all the items, the Fishing Man will construct you a rod, he will then show you how to use it and quiz you on what you have learned. After you pass his test you can buy some baits (sold by the Fishing Man), look for the fishing spot nearby and you'll be ready to start fishing!



The kind of fish you will encounter:

Guppy: A fish that heals the same as a red potion.

Trout: A fish that heals the same as a orange potion and a grape.

Bass: A fish that heals the same as a yellow potion and a grape juice.

Salmon: A fish that heals the same as a white potion and a blue potion. Small chance to get blinded.

Mutant Fish: A fish that heals the same as a white potion and a blue potion. (Only found at the advanced fishing spot)

Angel Fish: A fish that heals a great amount of HP and SP. Small chance to get frozen.

Doris: A fish that heals half of your HP and SP. Small chance to get Poisoned or silenced.

Nemo: A fish that fully heals your HP and SP. Small chance to get Poisoned or silenced.


The Advanced Fishing Spot
Deep in the sewers of Glastheim you will find a second fishing spot, with mutant fish and other wonders.
