i dint say that its too easy or too hard
just that making it hard for one particular class because its just a good class in general is not fair

Late to the party, but the reason for making things "hard for snipers" is a relative idea. PvM is generally easy for snipers (relative to any other class) because they have high damage, high aspd, high range... The old goal in ToH was to make things harder for snipers so that everyone was relatively even. Not claiming current ToH is easy for snipers, but if all the GMs did was spawn normal monsters Snipers would clearly have the easiest time of it. As evidence, I'd tell you that for the "middle ages" of the server (2-3 years in to some undetermined time) Snipers literally dominated EVERY ToH with 100-120+ points each time (50 from monster, 50 from item, + whatever from trivia/mass pvp).

The move "against snipers" (which Garr seems to have done a good job balancing with making it challenging for everyone) is a reaction to the fact that without such measures Snipers easily dominate ToH, and I'd bet the goal is to make it viable (but tough) for everyone.
