Councilwoman Maristella walked into one of the Light Allegiance fancy Council's meeting room. Fellow council members Thea, Archelaus and Nereus were already seated. "The meeting started twelve minutes ago." Nereus snarked at her.
"Yeah, yeah. I don't see Zhi Xun here, so be sure to tell him too when he shows up." The sniper barked back, taking a seat.
"He's busy at parliament." Nereus clenched his jaw and glanced at Thea. "A few months from now I could have been there too, without much effort, if Thea had let me have my way." One could almost smell the salt on him.
Councilman Archelaus, who had been mostly quiet up until now, pointed his hand at the High Priest's general direction. "That exact attitude is why Vynn's friends ran off with Melot." He spoke in his usual soft tone, but with a noticeable a hint of frustration.
"You told us Hugel's DB Man saw Dark carrying carts full of brewing materials for The Seer's biochem friend." Nereus scoffed and shook his head. "It's mere bribery!"
"Let's all just get to why we're here." Thea spoke loudly, trying to get back on topic. "I'm no closer to finding the spy among our ranks, but..." She looked over at each of her fellow council members to make sure they were paying attention, and lowered her voice. "I have an idea."
"Well, spare us the suspense and tell us!" Maristella impatiently blurted out.
"We cannot clash with the Dark allegiance in the open within Rune-Midgard, but we can assemble a force to find The Seer at the Dark allegiance's hiding places outside it." She explained, with an almost mischievous smile.
Maristella's expression was of confusion. "That's your plan to find The Seer?" She looked at her council mates to see if they were as unamused. "There may be a spy among us. Nereus, one of the accused, is sitting right ther--"
"Oh, here we go again!" Nereus interjected, before Thea interrupted him by slamming her hands on the table. She had clearly had enough of the bickering. Everyone went real quiet, real fast.
"It will be fine, and this time, things will go differently." She reassured everyone. "Rally each of your troops, and come back to me, and don't mention anything to anyone yet."
The next event, titled "The Devil Falls At Dawn", will be hosted by GM-Ayu. It will be PVM-based, and only Light Allegianced players may join this one.
GM-Ayu will post the event info and date in the following days. Screenshots from the previous event can be found attached on this post.
"I am sure that you have a lot of questions regarding my latest order to assemble the troops to assault the Dark Allegiance's strongholds outside of Rune-Midgard on a whim, but I can reassure you that the Spy among us has the same questions. No doubt that the Spy cannot wait to pass the news to Melot, but with the heightened tension of talks about a spy, the Spy will not dare to deliver the message personally. Runners will the sent in place. I want you to be stationed all around the fields and catch the runners who work for the Spy. We will intercept the messages then interrogate the runners for evidence and information on the Spy's identity."
<><><>
"The Devil Falls At Dawn" will be hosted on Jan 12, at 13:00.
This is for Light Allegiance members only and is a Pv"M" event.
Goal: Prevent the runners from leaving Veins Fields 05 via any of the warps on the map.
Event Details
The unknown spy will send runners to try to alert the Dark Allegiance. Players have to guard multiple warp portals on the event map and defeat the runners before they reach the warp portals and leave the map.
There is always only one runner alive at once but there are multiple reasonable possible spawn point for the runner.
Runner is controlled by GM
Runner is always a medium sized demihuman
Runner may have guards, which may be anything
Runner uses all legit gears, except for raw HP boosts.
Runner will NOT use legit base stats, though no stats will have a base over 99
Runner will use consumables (including consumables that grant skills such as scrolls)
Runner will never use any % based hp healing items, or speed potion
Runner may not always fight the players. Runner may fight to clear the path, or ignore the players and try to dash for the warp.
Runner will use skills corresponding to their class + monster skills, but they won't use cross-class abilities.
Runner uses legit movement speed + appropriate speed buffs that a normal player can get.
Runner will always spawn at least half a map away from the destination, so there is time to intercept them before they walk up to the warp.
Runner will not use Teleport or Warp Portal, but any other movement skills will be used.
Runner may be 3rd class and use unique renewal-based skills appropriate to their class.
Runners and their guards give no exp and no items, so you do not need to worry about level range for party.
There are 10 waves in total (10 runners)
While GM is preparing to spawn the next runner, it will be a time for you to heal up and reposition.
When the runner spawns, there is always a broadcast that s/he is up.
GM will not resurrect or recall once the event starts.
Reward is based on number of runners killed overall.
Event Tips
Veins field 05 can be reached on foot and is not a special event map. If you die, you can respawn and run back to the field at any time on your own. Likewise, you can access kafra/healer in this similar manner.
Veins field 05 has TWO exits. You will need to split up and guard both exits somehow.
You may not have to deal with all the guards who escort the runner. Once the runner is defeated, the guards will automatically die (similar to how slaves react to the death of the summoning monster.)
You can teleport/fly wing on the map. That may be a viable way to find the runner, or to run to the other warps to reinforce it.

Rewards:
The following reward will be given to all participants and are cumulative.
Participation: Poring card
Each runner gives 500k exp, 500k jexp.
3 runners killed: 5 Light Allegiance Point
5 runners killed: Damp Card Album
7 runners killed: Event Bag
9 runners killed: upgrade the DCA into OCA
All 10 runners killed: Hat Voucher

Thea's success at uprooting the spy depends on number of runners captured.
At the end of the event, a player will roll a dice ingame. The dice roll determines how many runners stopped by the Light allegiance will be required for Lady Thea to figure out the identity of the spy.
Dice roll of 1: Light must defeat at least 9 runners
Dice roll of 2: Light must defeat at least 8 runners
Dice roll of 3: Light must defeat at least 7 runners
Dice roll of 4: Light must defeat at least 6 runners
Dice roll of 5: Light must defeat at least 5 runners
Dice roll of 6: Light must defeat at least 4 runners
This does not affect event reward, but will affect the outcome of the event in the overall plot.
Note: I am moving to my new house and setting up my internet connection on Jan 11. If something goes wrong with the internet setup, then sadly this event will be postponed to a later date.
After a fruitful day of intercepting messengers attempting to deliver fabricated news of an attack on the Dark Allegiance, came an even more fruitful evening of interrogating them. Then, came time for the confrontation.
East of Aldebaran, and behind the Light Allegiance headquarters, Lady Thea, Councilwoman Maristella and Councilman Nereus appeared, via portal. A handful of troops came in after them. Their goal was to capture the spy before they even knew they'd been discovered.
Nereus, who was under "supervision" since The Seer's escape, had finally been allowed to leave his home. "I'm still offended you would ever doubt me, but I have found it in my heart to forgiv--"
"Let's not pretend you're a victim." Maristella interrupted him. She motioned to her troops behind her, as she was about to give orders. "You four, get an antiport field around the building and don't let anyone leave. You two stay with me."
"Deidra fooled us all." Thea responded to Nereus. "I apologize for doubting your loyalty." It didn't sound like she wanted to apologize to him, but Nereus simply smirked back at her.
Lady Thea approached the back wall of the headquarter, placed her palm on it, and began muttering something. A portion of the wall began to fade away, revealing a hidden door.
The headquarter's usual busy hallways were empty. Everyone had either gone home or were in the living quarters—the group's target. The three council members and two troops slowly made their way to the quarters where Deidra had been working on for the past few days.
Now just one long hall away from their target, they encountered a guard, unconscious on the floor. Nereus woke him up with a resurrection spell.
"Some assassin popped up right in front of me..." The guard mumbled, rubbing his bloody, broken nose.
Nereus quickly mustered up a bluish white ball of light to reveal nearby cloaked assassins, while Thea put on her special pair of glasses, and donned her trusty shield and blade.
"It couldn't have been long ago..." Maristella guessed. "Someone would have seen this happen."
Thea glanced around the room. "I don't think I see anyone else in the hall." She said.
"Deidra's gone already." Nereus reminded everyone, motioning for them to hurry.
"Wait..." Thea muttered, narrowing her eyes trying to see something.
"Let's just search her room for clues." Nereus replied as he walked on ahead of the group.
"Wait!" Thea shouted back, regrettably too late, as Nereus had tripped a wire. He quickly shielded himself with Kyrie Eleison, as an explosion in Deidra's room sent parts of the door flying. Thea jumped back and protected Maristella and the troops with her shield as best as she could.
The blast seemed to be aimed more at causing chaos rather than harm, but Thea preferred safety over being sorry. She made sure everyone was alright, and lead the way to Deidra's room, which had been emptied of all of her belongings.
"What now?" Maristella asked Thea, who was looking out the room's broken windows.
"Now... we wait for Melot's next move."
Thanks for participating in the Runner event! Hope you enjoyed it!
The next event might be taking place over the forum. I'm still planning out the details involved, so as usual, stay tuned!
Last night, an explosion occurred at the Light Allegiance Headquarters east of Aldebaran. We reached out to the five Allegiance Council members, but all of them refused to comment on the situation. However, lower ranking members who wished to remain anonymous reported the blast occurred while a search for a traitor was taking place within the building. The blast was allegedly caused by the traitor, and aimed at causing chaos and not serious harm, as no one was injured. No formal reports have been filed yet.
In apparent response to these events, additional security measures were taken. Twice as many guards as usual can be seen outside the building and patrolling the eastern Aldebaran Field.
In related news, The Dark Allegiance Council, on behalf of Vynn The Seer, issued a statement this morning informing his dream of a cataclysm will be revealed tomorrow in the evening. Many on the outside speculate on what Vynn saw, but it seems we won't truly know until tomorrow when The Seer speaks for himself.
And so we return from our "Mid Season" break with a short recap of the last event, and a tease of what's to come, while establishing where in the timeline the story currently is (AKA this month long break between events doesn't happen in this story)!
The next event will take place over the forum! More details to come soon!
The Seer's dream, the one in which he saw a cataclysm, and center of controversy for the past two months, has finally been revealed.
During a press conference held in front of the Unity Statue in Prontera, Vynn explained what he saw in a dream. Though somewhat nervous about speaking in front of hundreds, he started explaining what he did on the day he had his cataclysmic dream, nearly two months ago. Upon reaching the part where he went to sleep for the night, his voice began to tremble ever-so-slightly, and he began to stutter somewhat.
"It don't know where I was exactly. But the sky was dark... Everyone was terrified. They ran away... away from something near us... bright, beautiful...
I tried hard to look around for context, but I couldn't find anything. I only heard screaming... So much screaming. And then... came a sudden burst of light.
I couldn't see or hear anything after that. I only heard myself say 'Everything will be destroyed', but I didn't say it. Or, not willingly..."
The Seer later asked for peace to be kept at all costs, in hopes of preventing a terrible future, but upon questioning by the press, was unable to specify an instance of his predictions not coming to pass. Melot instead took center stage upon noticing Vynn visibly overwhelmed, and offered words of support for all, claiming the future is not set in stone and can be changed.
Melot was questioned about the past actions of Dark Allegiance members and Erebos Followers, such as Mystra, Eudoxie, and his own ancestors, and the destruction that came from their own hand. "An individual's actions are just that: an individual's actions. They do not necessarily represent anyone else's values. Or would it be correct to say that Kushiel's actions represent the Light Allegiance's values? And what could we even say about Light and The Sky Island Incident several years ago?"
The press conference ended with more questions than answers. Even if apparently all of Vynn's previous prophecies have come true, can the future be changed? Or is it destined to happen? Does the very knowledge of his vision change the natural course of events leading up to this supposed cataclysm? And what exactly did he see? When did he see this cataclysm taking place? Where was it?
Perhaps only time will tell.
We're nearing the end of this story! For a change of pace, the next event will take place over the forum. Participants must answer either or both of the following questions:
1. Should anything be done to try to prevent or change the outcome of this mysterious future cataclysm?
2. Should The Seer attempt to find answers in his dreams regarding his cataclysmic vision?
Please provide a reasoning for your answer. It can be just a single sentence, an elaborate paragraph, etc. Your answers may affect this storyline, or any future one, so think thoroughly before you post!
Participants that meet the above requirements will receive 1 Reset Coupon and 1 Old Card Album. This event ends on Friday February 21st, 2020!

Participants that have already received their prizes will have their names crossed out.

Nothing can really be done since the exact series of events is not fully known. This is not a rock on the trail which once seen can easily be avoided. This is much more complex. He should attempt to seek more information from the dreams and until the full event is known things should continue to move as normal. Though, it might be that inaction could prove to be the catalyst just as well as any decision to act...
It seems as though that no matter what, Vynns dreams always come to this moment. I think we should try to consult Vynn at his convenience and gather as much information as possible on the matter. And maybe even, perhaps, have the Light and Dark allegiance call a temporary truce and work together in preparation for this cataclysm. Light, Dark, and Neutral aside, there's no point in trying to win an allegiance war if there's no world to win it on.
