Most of the players of the server ARE snipers and high priests. This is turning into a ToH argument, where you can't balance all the classes. Every class has its strengths and weaknesses, which means you either find a way around it or suck it up, no?

The best way to achieve balance is to update on a regular basis to avoid a class being 'OP' for a duration of time unequal with its counterpart other classes waiting for their patch to 'shine'.??

Besides this is off topic anyway, I simply stated you can do tweaks to drops and how monster AI in the dungeon works to make it an overall more fun experience for more players. <_>

There are already counters to snipers in level 2 of nidhog with one of the mobs casting wall of fog. Too bad its not that great a counter due to the stupidity of AI in RO to just rush at you, but its a start I guess, and isn't something that is the fault of the person who created the dungeon.

And how many sniper+priest combos are tackling Nidhog, or were before the 4 person requirement? We cannot use just Ayantis and Marivel for gauging how difficult this dungeon actually is.

It would be better instead to gauge how are different types of teams tackling Nidhog. What is viable there, and are there enough types of teams and builds that work there well enough to be wanted? This is what determines balance more than anything else I feel.

We already know sniper+priest is retarded but let's not force the whole game to go to that level if possible in PvM.

@bout sniper + priest: pvm always have been more imbalanced than pvp... A while ago LKs could solo 80% of the mvps with the right gear without even having to 'lex' the mvp like a champ had to do...

I'm aware that PvM has several imbalances, however, we did a custom dungeon of a dungeon already released on officials. We have tweaked New World in the past, along with Fairy Dungeon, such as making Pinguicula aggressive, or awarding more experience in each dungeon, or even changing drops as in the case of Fairy Watcher now dropping Geledria instead of Caesar Sword.

We did these changes to make these places more popular, difficult, or fair depending on case. We also should strive to do a better job than Gravity has if we are making our own custom content such as dungeons and quests and things. So I hope a GM will read this topic and think of how to make changes to Nidhoggur that will make it a better experience for those on the server. :]

Uhhno. They're alts. Snipers/HPs = auto-pro player, regardless of whether they know how to use them or not.

If people are able to duo the map, then it might even be too easy.

RO is too easy imo. It's soloable, but I'm not one to drag oceans of fish along unless I'm making immediate profit.
