I DID say it helped and worked, but I don't have to like the way it happened..

RE: V4P October
It's sad that it works in all honesty.

And no, you don't have to like it or even do it if you hate it. It does help the server though. I've seen a great influx of new people coming here because of the V4P system. I got all giddy when we hit 500 people. True, a ton of them are shops, but in comparison to other servers we still have a ton more 'people' around since we don't allow dual clienting.

Also if you didn't like it, you wouldn't buy any of the items we have to offer and just keep voting, but we know they are too hard to resist >:3

Yeah, pragmatism wins, sometimes even in my case.

Right now I'm feeling very quixotic though.

ABOUT THIS!

a few days ago a friend asked me how many people were online, i checked 458. he told me to not count merchs so i went to CP and looked up how many merchs were on. There were 300 merchs online, my jaw dropped.

Lol maybe at best 10-20 of those merchies are actual merchies playing...>_<
Well you can blame school or something else, but I am surprised at the merchant count myself (which is more than HALF the players claimed to be online).

Technically we are all doing something illegal since we play on an illegal private server. Gravity just gave up trying to beat these things down. :3

RE: V4P October
meh, i like to stick it up to the man...
they're the ones stupid enough to set up (or at least let the status quo to persist) the idea/system of economic rewards for entrepreneurs.

back to topic, great explanation bluejelly! No1

@Jens> i share your general notion, thus why i have 0 voting points although i could probably quite easily vote every 12 hours...
i know it is very quixotic of me to want to preserve a real gem and protect it from the outside world, but i must admit that it seems more people means more chances of groups and more social exchanges, and that generally seems to make people happier...

so props on the system, props on getting more ppl, hopefully you guys can keep up the good job you're doing keeping rule-breakers and botters at bay No1

I'm more than happy to put a meaningful review in RMS and renew it whenever necessary, but i'm sorry if i still can't seem to see myself voting.

RE: V4P October
I don't need to give away my reasons why i'm voting, but i DO understand WHY we have this system.

before we got it i always just simply forgot to vote (unless i ran into a GM's siggy or a players siggy with "Vote for HeRO!" in it)

I personally don't care why people vote, as long as they vote.
And well we might not always like all the gear they offer but atleast THEY DE-POWER them. The GM's could also have been like "Hey lets keep the original status of the gear cause thats more easier for us".
