Why hello there, Hero.
Long time player, short time forum user.
I'm only 16 years old, I also go by the name of Alex and I'm a soon to be college student.
Please note that I've barely taken any art classes, I really just taught myself everything I know.

Oh wow, we are almost the same!! I taught myself how to draw by staying in the library and almost reading every how to draw manga books in my free time. I hated my art class, teacher hates anime style and so I quit art class and studied by myself, soon the art teacher actually went to me and ask me if I could come back because my skills improve to the limit where I can draw portraits. The art you are currently doing is pretty amazing for not being in art class. Btw, im also going to graduate this year, but I'm expecting that my grades won't get me in the university I want so I registered to a crappy college

I'm not graduating, I'm just finishing off highschool at college. It's some state program I'm going into.

I had the same experience with teachers not liking my art style.
It just bugged the crap out of me to a point where I just buckled down and tried something else, I'm still switching back and fourth between styles though.

Anyways the best way to learn is to observe others create their drawings. I actually went through some of the forums threads . But right now the art you guys see that I'm posting are actually my "rush art" in other terms are art that I finish as fast as I can in an effective way. I learn this skill through drawing people in the cafeteria while they are moving, trying to remember it with a photographic image in the head. It's a skill that I learn by drawing everyday for a year . If I actually get serious in my art, it takes me like a day or more to finish one art piece that is a masterpiece.
