rejected from server

it just immediately says "Rejected from server" when i try to log in

my friend has been trying to help me out with the server issue, and he says that he can log into my account on his computer, but i still get rejected on my computer.

Check if you have a data file. If you do, rename it to something else.

Sounds like it's not that the server is rejecting you. Your client doesn't seem to be connecting to anything at all to begin with.

i have one DATA.ini file, and if i change it or delete it, the whole thing doesnt work... and i was told by my friend to add that i also have heRO.grf and sdata.grf

I think Ayu may have meant Data folder, rather than a specific file?

You haven't ever been banned, have you???If so it could be an IP issue.??=o

Other than that, have you in any way modified anything in your heRO folder???Did you move the heRO folder or any of its contents after installation???Have you had RO installed on your computer before and, if so, did it ever behave in this manner???If/how was this RO moved or uninstalled???What folder is heRO in???What file are you accessing to start heRO???If I remember correctly, though it may not have been heRO that I'm thinking of, there are at least three executables in your RO folder.??Only one of them works completely.??The others are Sakray and one that just brought up an error when I tried to access it.

Umm...Is there anything at all you did outside of downloading the appropriate programs/files, installing them, and updating them?

Is there anything at all you feel might contribute to this problem???Anything, no matter how frivolous it may seem to you.

i dont know how i could have been banned when i havent even been on the server before =[ i thought it might have been an IP issue cause my friend could gain access to my account but i cant.

i havent modified anything yet, the only thing i altered was the DATA.ini folder cause thats what Ayu said to do. i have a backup folder of the sakray contents itself so i can copy it into different folders so i can have multiple servers. so its basically C:\...Gravity\RO\HeRO
i can provide a screenshot of the server folder if that would be helpful

well...thats...weird. it's working all of a sudden. i restarted my internet router?

Backup Sakray?????Like, one you've had previously and just copied into your HeRO folder?

Could it be possible that this Sakray could be the culprit???

ahaha - good show. While we're all trying to pick apart your computer it's the router's fault. I'm adding that to my list of fixes.

i mean like to prevent myself from downloading the entire sakray again cause it takes me like 6 hours -.- i just copy the files i downloaded so i can reuse them, and periodically run the sakray to keep it updated.

but anyway, i restarted my router and now its working D= it's odd.

Huh - I wonder if that's safe.??It's been so long since I fiddled with my RO workings that I have no idea.

It's crazy how much RO has evolved over the past year.??It used to be I could be gone for a year and come back unscathed in my RO knowledge.??Now I know nothing!??Don't look forward to me ever being a GM of any server - not that anyone actually looks forward to me being a GM.??I'd find the cutest thing in the world and make it the most deadly MVP in the game.??Like Gir!??
