You just haven't been looking hard enough for the good ones. Yes, I'll agree that there is a giant crap ocean of crap anime, but if you wade through the crap you'll find plenty of gems.

A few good ones that come to mind right away:
Code Geass, Dennou Coil, Ergo Proxy, FLCL, Neon Genesis Evangelion, Pretty much all movies by Studio Ghibli, East of Eden, Seinen no Blacksmith, Midori Days, Fullmetal Alchemist, Scrapped Princess, Soul Eater, Negima, Baccano!, Loveless (the manga; the anime kinda sucked), Kare Kano, Ranma 1/2, Chobits, Yakitate!! Japan, Lucky Star, and Kannagi

There's gotta be something in there you'd enjoy

So only 95% of anime is totally worthless >;O

It's an acquired taste.

I myself find most of animes to be quite worthless. I usually only watch 1-2 series every few months. I'm very picky about my preferences.

I dont assume that RO players have to like at least some anime, I assume that EVERYONE would like at least some anime if they gave it a chance

There's so many different anime out there it's like music or movies; there's gotta be something for you o.o
