Wasn't Athena the goddes of wisdom?

Most gods and godesses had more than one circle of influence.

I'd say it's rather known that Athena was the goddess of war, she is usually represented carrying a lance and wearing a battle helmet and shield.

Which does not exclude that she may also have been goddess of wisdom, and goddess of the home too I think.

Actually both of you are right. She is the goddess of wisdom, strategy, and war. Don't know about being goddess of the home though, I'm fairly certain that was another goddess' domain...

To be more precise, war has 2 gods:

Ares, god of war
Athena, godess of war strategy

And if I recall right, each houses had it's designated god/godess to protect it (most of the time 3, for example: Zeus (was normaly one of the 3 ), Artemisa (hunt) and Demetere(harvest)).

But, wasn't Aphrodisia godess of Home and love? XD
