Actually no security is 100% safe But I dont feel like having the username really decrease the security level all that much considering theres also a password to bypass.

Best thing to do would be to let player select the char they want to display in the CP but I prefer to use my time working on some more "useful" features/stuff in the short term.

Sora was and was not involved. An IP other then Sora's IP was on his name for the incident in question. We already know who this other person was, but that's irrelavent. Because the owner of the character was not the actual one in the act, instead of being banned, they reset his characters or something along those lines. And since light / dark points go by account...he didn't lose any.

Thats my point though, if you loose all your stuff wouldn't all the variables on your account be reset too? Just seems like something that would go together :O

No. The actual account wasn't messed with. I believe just the characters got deleted or something like that. They would have to delete the account for those to go poof.

Actually its a row in a database which require one query to remove. But Sora has allready been punished appropriately for what he did.

As for ban accounts I might remove them this weekend if I think about it. But in any case within a month or two they probably will be bumped off the ranking by other players
