RE: Traceroute & times of lag
I've only had tiny little spikes, lasting about 0.2 seconds or something, usually happening 2-3 after each other. Before the change they lasted from 3 to up to 20 seconds. I don't think that they've become more or less frequent tho, still happening once or twice every hour or so.
So in my opinion, it's a clear improvementIcon_biggrin
Not that the lag ever bothered me all that much =P

RE: Traceroute & times of lag
I'm from the NA, and I noticed it as well.

The shorter lag spikes are usually noticed when my character stands in place for a moment (and that happens a lot more than I thought it would).
Randomly materializing within heRO since 2008.

Hi, I copy and paste profound and meaningful quotes without having an iota's worth of what it actually means!

RE: Traceroute & times of lag
Since the "lagfix" there are two "new" issues (considering the lag, not talking about the new pront map *coughs):

a) the already mentioned small spikes, they don't show up in pinging hero though. Rarely there are big spikes too.

b) more position lags than usually. Dunno if it's just imagination, but (especially in pront with the walkable-unwalkable cells, but also wihle being hit by a monster or running around corners) my chars is more often than not switching back and forth.

Anyone experiencing b) too or is that just ... imagination?

RE: Traceroute & times of lag
Yeah same, after the lag prob 'got fixed' i accually started having more problems with lag. Also the thing that Ayantis mentioned, when i walk on map my chars switch back and forth more often then they used to.

Though i switched my wireless after that and it seemed fine (we have wireless at home but also one without a lock in the neighborhood that keeps DCing me but keeps me auto connecting with it =__=" though i fixed that now)

Haven't been online enough to notice if the difference was more then my imagination
