If you can get the persons permission I think its ok. I would need to have a 'talk' with the person itself. But then that means you loose control of what gears they are sprited with and it goes to the characters owner itself.

@jen: IIRC, soul ring for light side, *retribution* hood for dark side, and Zen helm is for neutral. It can be used to skip some steps in future quest. Again, correct me if I'm wrong.
