That's very odd, with the files replaced it should work just as it used to. Are you launching the hero.exe file directly?

yes, its the hero.exe I launch. sorry about all the trouble. Last night I didn't have any problems, but today, i started the game and i got the same error again

It's odd, you're not the only one getting that. I'll look into it. If anyone has any idea why this could happen, please let me know.

do you mean that if I dissable the wings, I won't get the error or am I not understanding you correctly ? and if so, how do you dissable the winks ?

oh not exactly, Since i couldn't see the wings,
i took out the single files that makes the game die and give that message.

but i wouldn't reccomend it, its hard and if you do it wrong, things explode. XD

It's odd, for people who don't see wings, it would mean you're not reading my grf, but then if you can play, it means you are pointing to my ip and it's only in 2 places, in the newest hero.grf and in the data folder if you played on the high rate.

Make sure you remove or rename Data folder if you have one.

I changed a setting in the subnet, maybe more people can connect now.

I know you know this already Pandora, but for those who have the same problem I'll share mine.

It seems I cannot connect through a proxy. You see at my home it works fine, but at work, where I need a proxy because of the company's firewall, it cannot connect to the server after I have entered my name and password.

I'm really positive that it's the new patch that causes that and Pandora will try to fix that for sure! :D

So don't worry proxy pals, we'll get to play at work again! Eventually... XD

Well, since we know it used to work and now it doesn't, it must be because of the grf or client. I just don't know where or what could cause that.

Also I'm still trying to get the CP back up. If I can't get it to work soon, I might just re-install a new CP alltogether.

I hope you'll forgive me that it's all taking so long, technical stuff is far from being my specialty! I'm kinda clueless, but I'm learning as I go.

I'm trying my best, I'm just sorry my best is so little right now! XD

it worked when untill upi give me the message to download the 12mb file at fileden. I didn't wanna download it yet so i tried it without it cause fileden had a 404. it didnt work. Then i got the file from fileden and put it in heRO Files , and it didn't work either.

Weird, well I changed a setting in the router now, let me know if it works better now.
