EXAMPLE:
An auction ends at 12:00. Bob places the highest bid at 11:55. The new end time of the auction is now 12:55. Joe then places a higher bid at 12:30, thus making the auction extend to 13:30. Sam makes a new bid at 13:35, making the end time extend to 14:35. Bob then comes back later and makes a bid at 14:35 *buzzer sound* - sorry, auction ended thanks for trying. Sam wins.
