I'm wondering about stuff, it seems the bots actually are starting to read our posts before making their failiures known to the world. with the exception of the rules and stuff, would it deter the bots at all if the forums were set so only registered members could see it?

It would. But it would also be a deterrent to new players who are browsing the forums, pondering if this is the right server for them to join. And it would make it harder for people who google for rangarok online stuff to find out about the server since google wouldn't be able to index the forum posts. So its not worth it.

I've said numerous times that we merely need to beef up security.

I mean, 40-55% of all new accs created are bots.
