Some comments i wanna add.
Job changer npc. Many has it, why join the main stream? As soon as you hit lv 99/70 it is anyways a long forgotten. For me anyways. However add, whatever, as long as the GM team thinks its balanced and fair, (cost vs rewards).
Higher rates. Please no spiral towards some place higher. However promotional higher rates sounds better. Example:
GM-Lassander wanna edit the drop rates while Panda is on holiday. GM-Pixel discovers this and challenges GM-Lassander for a duel. Obviously this is a very public affair its the classic good vs evil, both sides thinks they are fighting for a good cause. One wins and they get to implement a change until the scheduled reset comes that Panda has already pre-programmed in, which will revert any change implemented by the newby GM's.??
Or... with help of a dark-GM a monster is re-engineered that will give dark buffs...and even assist in the next month ToH battle. Since Light has won the last couple of ToH battles. Panda allows this with a slap on the wrist for the particular GM. Panda however can not wait to see how this battle mod will play out and offers the wining team, as represented by a GM a choice of rewards items or exp.
The basic idea is higher exp or drops should be more event driven.
Some of these ideas looks nice, some have possibly inspired action. Like the list made by takhara.
Change is good in many ways in most cases the Vets should cope as pointed out by:
demishock Wrote:Actually... I can only speak for myself, but I'm a veteran player, and I think the idea of changes being "unfair" to veterans is a total crock. Things change. Some things SHOULD change. If we had to work harder for something, good for us! It's over and done with. We also have exclusive/limited/rare items from holidays and fairy auctions that newcomers may never get to have. We also all got to get the Moscovia warp without a quest. We have also formed all sorts of long-term friendships with other players that new folks will have to ingratiate themselves into (or not). And any new character a vet makes will benefit (or suffer) from new changes. So like... it's all well and good to discuss the pros and cons of implementing changes, but I think "it would be unfair to veterans" should be at the very bottom of the list of reasons. :/
/my 2 cents
A final nice quote how much is too much?
Menace651 Wrote:I think HeRO already has enough "newbie hand holding" with buddy beanie, free warps, DG, etc. Ask any long time veteran and they will tell you the game is already way too easy than it was before. Players have done fine without job changer or increased rates in the past. It would be redundant and unfair to older players to implement these features now.
