Yeap, examples would be Vincent Van Gogh who cut his own ear and the creator of Evangelion that got crazy :3 . In a broader perspective, schools teach people to be general and rational yet they clearly are destroying creativity with their 'laws' of how to do stuff. Obviously insanity is not healthy yet to express it in words does clear that foggy cloud in my head. You should try it! :D

Well, the author of Evangelion was going through a lot of shit at the time he was making it. There are people who say because he wasn't going through the depression he was during the initial creation, that the remakes weren't as good as the original. There are still people who disagree but it does seem like a lot of the actual character of the characters was removed in favor of fanservice and Shock factor. The fact that everyone's Eva had a Berserk mode, and not just Shinji's, also seemed to dull it down a bit and make it seem less important.
