Modified Renewal Cards, & New Custom Cards
The following cards are those whose effect are for renewal mechanics, and don't fit well into renewal in one way or another. This thread is for discussing the effects I've suggested here, and to hear whether they are balanced, useful, etc, or make their own suggestions.

Red means the original renewal effect.
Blue means the customized effect.

Niddhoggur Shadow Card - Armor
+5 Int. [High Wiz, Warlock] Fixed Cast Time -50%


+3 Int. [High Wiz, Professor, High Priest, Soul Linker, Ninja, Stalker, Super Novice] -10% Cast Time, -5% SP Cost, -5% Aftercast Delay. Chance to increase MATK by 12% for 5 seconds when attacking with magic.

Naght Sieger - Armor
Increases damage of Ghost element magic by 30%.


Increases damage of ghost element magic by 50%. Increases physical damage against Ghost Property Mobs by 25%. (Ghost Magic on pre-renewal isn't as powerful as on renewal, so it makes this card really bad.)

Atk+10. Chance to increase Perfect Dodge by 10 when attacking.

Changed to Shield Card. Reduce Damage from Water Property by 10%, Increase Resistance to Freeze by 20%, Add a 5% Chance to freeze the enemy when hit by physical damage. (Similar to how Flame skull does stone+curse+stun, except this one does only one status)

Enchant an armor with the water property. Decrease Damage from Fish by 10%.

Damage Reduction lowered to 3% 5% (Wings would make the original effect unbalanced, I suppose.)

Seems alright so far. There was a lot of discussion about the cards in-game when this was announced it was posted soo...

The rainbowring card feels very nice for baby classes, as their stats are capped naturally at 80.

Smash poring: Most racial cards are -30% reduction from the race.

Soul-eater card feels like a replacement for Firelock soldier for FS/MR Ninj/Pally. Still the same for SP use.

Thats all I really have for comments.

imho leave it as is so that other classes may want to use it as well. Other classes might still prefer vanberk for their headgears due to the fact that it gives 2 STR (which is their main damage stat). I don't really see a reason why the dex is only reserved for archer classes in this instance (as opposed to the dolomedes one which seems pretty spot on)

^ again i don't see why archers should be the only one to get the +4 crit. Archers have a mechanics leg up already in RO in general...


imho the smash poring one is good - if we reduced it to 30% it would be just a less flexible formless reduct shield card

Bump, changed some of the listed effects:

- Instead of reducing cast delay at a certain rate, Rata Card would give a chance to increase MATK by 20 and decrease casting time by 20% for 8 seconds when dealing magic damage.
- Took Wira's suggestion and made the +4 CRIT from Sedora Card apply to all classes and not just archer.
- Left Phylla Card's original effect untouched instead of restricting the DEX to archer classes.

- Added Winter Wolf, Spring Fae and Sunny Bug Cards on the second post.

What about a card for Masterdrops, MasterMarin, MasterPoporing, Orcring, deviruchiring, God Poring, foxring(can we also give foxring some other drops besides just a card? XD), and jailring? OwO

It would be cool to maybe combo Masterdrops with drops card, Mastermarin with Marin, and Masterpoporing with poporing, like how poring and mastering combo.

Also it'd be kinda cool if the Lovering card combo'd with either the Rose Choker, or Wedding ring~

Thanks for your suggestions, though for now it's only the cards mentioned in the second post since they have card images that were made by heROers in the past. I do think I have seen a masterdrops image somewhere, I'll check around and add an effect to it if I find it.

As for adding actual loot to Poporing Island, I believe it was discussed in the past, though I'm not sure what became of it. I'll poke people and see what happens. :P
