Siege at the Mountain
Tonight, A siege took place at the mountains north of Einbroch. The full details of what happened remain undisclosed by the Schwartzvald Government, but we do have reports from unofficial sources regarding what happened.
International Agent Adelaide Adlersflugel and her troops met up at Comodo tonight. She revealed she was the one who posted the mysterious notice on the billboards some days ago recruiting volunteers for the mission, since their numbers have been at an all-time low after Kushiel's onslaught in Midcamp.
After explaining the mission, which involved laying siege to Ostellos' base in the mountains, and informing of the possible threat of death if they fail, the team warped to the wilds north of Einbroch. They moved stealthily through the mountainside, eventually encountering a female assassin cross. She lured them with cryptic words to two magical pillars, which drained their energies and sent dark shockwaves that devastated the team. Upon destroying the spellweaving towers, they chased after the woman, apprehending followers of Ostellos on the way.
The supposed base was empty, save for a few zealots, leading Adelaide and the rest to believe it was all a trap. They continued running after the assassin girl however, who lead the group to Hanz Von Abendroth, the cursed, mindless follower of Erebos, and apparently, Ostellos' full-time goon. The fight was short, as is usually the case with Abendroth, but some claim he muttered something along the lines of "She'll be pleased". Who he was referring to, it's not known.
In the end, the assassin woman and Abendroth vanished, but all, if not most of the troops at the base were arrested. Ostellos' whereabouts remain unknown.

Thanks for joining the event! I like how everyone expected it to be super complicated but it was short, sweet and relatively to the point. Next time it might be different, who knows~ Be on your toes!

Fuel to the Fire
"Do you know why I've called you all here today?" The dark clothed scholar asked his followers, who dared not say a single word.
"During the raid on Fairyland, someone was captured and gave up the location of one of our bases. Tortured, likely electrocuted and nearly drowned, he gave in. As will those captured during last week's raid. As would you." There was a bit of charisma to him as he spoke.
"Understandable, however. Weak-minded and unable to endure on their own, humanity was assisted by Odin and others. They spoiled us by helping us thrive in a difficult era, violating the most basic law of nature: Survival of the fittest."
Ostellos smiled, sighing and turning his back to the group of people in front of him. "But we are not without hope, for we will galvanize the world into being strong again."
The scholar made a hand gesture to a knight behind him, prompting them to open the nearby door. "However, since none of you are strong enough to resist torture, you'll learn to be strong enough to not get captured in the first place."
At that moment, two knights brought a man in. The gunslinger previously captured by Ciar and Tiamat. Holding the rope that bound the man from a distance, the two men kept him in place.
Ostellos walked up to the bound man and gently removed the tape from his mouth. He moved away to pick up a mason jar filled with a reddish transparent liquid on a table near him. "S-sir, p-please... I'm sorry!" the man shouted, hysterically.
Without further words, Ostellos hurled the liquid at the man, then proceeded to send a stream of fire at him, setting him ablaze. The blood-curdling screams of the man pierced the air, as the scholar glanced over the group, trying to note the reactions of each person present. Those who knew what he was trying to do kept a straight face. Others couldn't resist flinching or closing their eyes in response to the sight of the man's face and body burning alive, or the "unique" smell of burning hair and flesh. These were likely to face several extra rounds of "special training" for their minds and bodies.

RE: The Chronicle of Heroes ~ Of Fiends and Shadows
After the last few battles between the three main countries' forces against Ostellos, Agent Adelaide has organized a training session scheduled for Friday Night (8:30 PM). Those interested are to meet up at Aldebaran.
<><><><><>
Tomorrow, Friday, September 2, at 9:00 PM EST, I (GM-Ciar) will be hosting a Crystal Challenge event.
How the event works: - The Challenge is a test of wit, skill and teamwork.
- Those who accept the challenge will form a party.
- The party or parties' goal is to shatter all 5 crystals within the time limit.
- There are NPCs and entrances to different locations throughout the event Map. Explore every corner of the event maps, you never know where a crystal might be hidden!
Event Rules: - Only characters above level 89 may join.
- There is a 1 Hour Time Limit to shatter all crystals.
- There will be no GM resurrections provided.
- All participating players must be partied at all times. Un-partied characters will not be allowed in the event.
- Please have as few parties as possible in proportion to the amount of players.
For example: If 25 players join, have only 2 parties instead of 6 different parties or so.
- Please respect each other and play as a team.
- Once each crystal is destroyed, please PM GM-Ciar to let him know.
Notes:- Teleport and flywings are disabled in the event, as well as intimidate/snatch.
- Relogging in some maps will cause you to return to your last save point.
As usual, the more crystals shattered, the better the rewards.

Pyramid Magics, Twisted Logics
During an attack on the Pyramid, Morroc's defending forces confronted several raidcal Dark Siders. After protecting the city of a horde of undead and fire creatures, the heroes rushed into the pyramid, where they were attacked by a female Assassin Cross named Reilinn and her cursed sword.
Having subdued the woman, they chased Ostellos and Lord Matthew into the deeper levels of the Pyramid. The treacherous councilman spoke no words to those that questioned his motives for following the extreme side of the Dark Allegiance. The dark scholar, however, bragged about stalling the group while their leader took something from deeper in the pyramids. Said leader turned out to be the feared Dark Conjurer Eudoxie, whose spirit had allegedly been given an artificial body to reside in by Kiehl Hyre's son.
Eudoxie escaped after the furious firestorm that ensued, leaving with yet another mysterious mirror fragment. According to Agent Durai of the Thief guild, the fragment has been in the Pyramid for a long time. It was used to help channel the mana that flows through the pyramids. Without it, the energies accumulate in the lower floors, making the creatures go berserk once the air is saturated with magic.
We tried contacting Sir Melot to obtain a response and ask about his recent statements claiming Lord Matthew was ill, but were unsurprisingly unsuccessful. After Kiel Hyre learned of his son's recent works, he shut down the production line that created bodies for Eudoxie.
With yet another blast from the past, Ostellos' forces grow stronger. The Light Allegiance's head councilwoman, Lady Thea, stated today that the growing number of skeletons in the Dark Allegiance's closet is worrying, and asked the collective governments to keep an eye on them, to prevent further surprises on their part.

"Are you sure you wouldn't prefer a real human body?" Ostellos asked, opening a crate with an intact body inside.
Eudoxie's spirit moved around the room impatiently. She retained a human form, although translucent. "I will not be tied to the mortal coil as you are. If there's any danger to me, I can just discard the body and escape."
"Hrm. Very well." The scholar replied, somewhat unsure. He took the artificial body out of the crate and set it on the floor. Eudoxie's spirit flew into it, making the new container for her soul shake violently for a second or two. "Be careful, you don't have a lot of back-up bodies to retreat to." Ostellos added.
Eudoxie laughed, as if she was just told a joke. "My dear... by now you should know I don't rest until I accomplish my goals."
She then turned around to face the professor. "Now, gear up. We've got to keep our enemies distracted, so you and I are going on vacation." The conjurer explained, with a cryptic tone about her. "There's some deer we have to see."

Thanks for joining the Pyramid Nightmare inauguration event, one of several locations to be released as consequence of the events that happen in the Chronicle of Heroes!
Thanks to all the people who helped test the mobs used during the event, especially Minnt and Roger for testing the Nightmare Pyramid mode, and Lin Lin/Reilinn for being a good follower of Lord Matthew and also a deadly MVP!
