Three of Four
Although slightly earlier than expected, an attack from dark side radical followers of Eudoxie and Ostellos took place in Rachel this morning.
The forces were lead by the Lich Afanasy, previously responsible for the haunting of Lord Huppal's Mansion. They seemed bested early on by Arunafeltz' and International Agent Adelaide's troops, but managed to summon more forces, eventually breaking through the defenses and entering Rachel Sanctuary. However, it was revealed in the Pope's Sky Garden that days ago, the Pope herself, as well as her aides, sought refuge in the city west of the Od Gorge, and had the mirror hidden away in one of the unoccupied castles south of the city.
The Lich and Hanz Von Abendroth's forces retreated and met up with the rest of Eudoxie and Ostellos' troops at the empty Valfreyja Guild Castles, soon occupying the strongholds.
Lord Matthew, his troops, and a group of dark-allianced werewolves occupied the canyon fortress of Mardol, while Eudoxie and an army of fire beasts held the Gefn castle in the southeast. Cyr castle in the southwest was raided by Ostellos, Abendroth, the Lich and Midnight Jack, and turned out to be the hiding place of the Mirror Fragment.
Having been one step ahead once again, Ostellos and the rest made their escape, leaving only Midnight Jack and all manner of dark creatures in their midst to ambush the troops. As additional distraction, the southeast castle, Gefn, was set ablaze.
In their wake, the dark forces left upwards of 75 dead, a quarter of them citizens and priests, and the rest being troops from both Arunafeltz and Adelaide.
It was learned from the rhyming Midnight Jack that there's a total of four mirror fragments. With Eudoxie owning three, and everyone else being completely in the dark regarding its uses or the location of the last piece, uncertainty looms over the horizon once again.

Midgard News Update
Yesterday, during a stop for supplies at Beacon Island, a creature escaped the cargo ship arriving from the region known as the Faeheim Archipelago.
The animal, called a "Grass Mutant", and identified simply as a "type of Phreeoni", was held in a cage inside the ship, and was supposed to be delivered to Fairyland for research.
The escaped creature is completely green, covered in moss, and often has several venomous travelling with it. The Comodo Coast Guard are warning adventurers to be careful when travelling near the Papuchica Forest, specifically the border.

In other news...
This morning, Agent Adelaide Adlersflugel of the International Anti-Terrorism Task Force announced that a group of agents and warriors were stationed near Glast Heim. Apparently, Midnight Jack was sighted roaming the halls of the castle. Fearing for the destruction of the national landmark, the group was tasked with simply observing and gathering information. They will not take action unless Eudoxie or Ostellos are sighted, or there is imminent danger to the ancient ruins.

Too RP;Didn't Read:
As per the results of yesterday's Fairy Auction "Boss Gamble" pack, Grass Mutant will spawn in Comodo Field 05 (2 Maps north of Beacon Island) every 2 hours to 2 hours and 30 minutes. Midnight Jack will spawn in Glast Heim Castle F2 (gl_cas02) every 2 to 3 hours.
Use @Mi 3981 and @mi 3982 to see the MVPs stats and drops. Their skills remain untouched from their original versions.

Chronicle of Heroes ~ Dark Impetus
Hello heroes. The event to conclude the Lutia storyline in the current Chronicle of Heroes arc will take place on Sunday, April 2, at 9:00 PM EST.
========================= Event Details ========================
Part 1: Incursion
The Event will start off with a simultaneous attack on all four towns in the Lutia Region: Lutie, Farsat, Crystal Shore, and Kaldheim.
Players must eliminate all or the grand majority of the event mobs in these towns within 15 minutes to proceed, otherwise the attackers will be considered victorious. If successful, the next portion of the event will begin.
Part 2: Pursuit
This will involve a chase through the fields of Lutia. The players must go after a target controlled by a GM, which will spawn mobs to hinder their progress. At least 5 players must be alive at all times near the target (within screen range) as they march towards the destination. Should there be less than the specified amount for longer than 30 seconds, the heroes will fail and the event will end.
Part 3: Battle at the Gates
The first of several boss battles will take place here. If all players near the boss wipe 3 times, the heroes will fail.
Part 4: Emissaries of Darkness
The second round of boss battles. There will be 5 MVPs and 15 special mini-bosses scattered across the event map, among other mobs. All 15 mini-bosses and at least 3 of the MVPs must be defeated within 20 minutes to proceed.
Part 5: End of the Line
After a run through one more map, the heroes will arrive at the scene of the final battle against two MVPs. Only 5 map wipes are allowed for this battle.
===========================================================
Other details worth knowing:
- The event should last from 1 hour to 1 hour and 30 minutes.
- Exp loss will be disabled on the field maps during the event.
- GM Resurrection will only be provided on Part 5, and only once all players on map are KO'd.
- If any player disconnects or respawns during Part 4 or 5, they can be warped back by the hosting GM.
- Participating players will of course, be rewarded at the end of the event.
Again, and I cannot stress this enough. Careful coordination and planning is highly advised.
Should players fail in the event, Lutia will be closed before midnight and will no longer be accessible. Who knows what other consequences it could have on Midgard.
