Introducing Class Combo Gears!
Class combo gears is a new thing that heRO is trying out. Having combo pieces work together is an easier way to control power levels of gears than individual pieces of equipment. It allows us to gate-keep more powerful effects only if all pieces of the combo are present, so that it's more unlikely there to be blatant power creep even though we are releasing so many new equipment in this patch.
Class combo gears mostly serve 3 functions, and can be divided accordingly:
1. Blatant power creep for classes that are forgotten by gravity
- Grenade Launcher Gunslinger build (Bombardier)
- Generic Star Gladiator class combo (Freyja)
- Physical Ninja class combo (Shadow)
- Generic Super novice combo (Advanced angelic)
- Clown song-swap combo (Poet)
The individual pieces are mostly usable standalone cause they are so much better than the gears that they can use for the most part, or applicable outside of the complete combo.
2. Power up a currently existing build that is ill supported by gravity/past heRO customs
Powerful for the intended build, but only passable in niche situations or eve outright useless for that class outside of the intended build. However, they'll require a small amount of "build around me" as they may ask you to learn particular skills that are not so popular. We hope that the class combo entices players to create new characters of these classes to try out these builds that were previously deemed "interesting but not good enough."

3. Complete new build for the classes
The class is either so linear or so powerful/efficient as is that we have to make something brand new, and create a new play style form nothing. Your stats and skills learned will be extremely tested.

We reserve the right to buff OR NERF the combo gears if it does not turn out the way we imagine. If major nerf or re-design are involved, we'll provide card removal for free whenever applicable. Minor tweaks like removing 1 point of def or few % decrease will not result in card removal.
Due to the restrictive nature of the class combo gears to always be wearable by one class only, we decided to try a semi-floating rate approach. The gears can be hunted at a standard low-mid level monster at ~0.3% rate, but there's also a source that's more challenging and may require a party to reach. This more challenging source will drop the gear at a much more promising rate. The gears are also spread out in a lot of older dungeons as well, so we hope that players will spend the time to re-discover these fabulous old locations as well!

Ur's set favors high natural HP with some atk boost at the cost of very low defense, lending itself very well towards Lord Knight's Frenzy skill and auto-attacks.

Good lord, it's like you looked at some of my gimmicky builds and made gears just for those characters <3
Judgement set definitely looks pretty solid (especially with my love for Signum Crucis), and completely shattered my expectations of it being another gear set to boosting Magnus Exorcismus. Going to need to revisit Battle priests gearing and think of something better to use than the Aco card combo (though it still seems like it'd be nice with this set..., Minus the 2 slots on the Mace)
With the black wing set on it's way, I guess I can stop trying to get +3 luk tights for a venatu card... Still wondering if that autocast is the same as normal autoblitz, or if it acts like a Manually casted Blitz beat where the damage isn't split, does the full damage to everything it hits.
Nab set- +10 Mystic Bow plx.
Advanced Angelic set- Does this set work with Novice wings?[Edit: Nvm It says so in the full combo effects, that's awesome]
Chem Aid set- Would all those buffs when using your support alchy skills affect your homunculus? (Aid pot into Imposito manus?) Would the cooldown time of the autocasted skills affect how frequently you can use yours? I could seee things getting dicey because Aid potion has always been better than heal in the fact that it heals more vrs vit people, but it's also aspd delay on said skill, so... if Imposito manus is cast, do we gotta wait before we can chuck another pot? I suppose this cooldown thing would apply to all autocasted skills by all of the new sets.
Shadow set looks interesting, but I don't think the effects of the set alone would warrant Not getting aspd to chuck loads and loads of Shuriken at whomever they're dodging and stealthing around. My biggest issue with Illusionary shadow was the fact that 1, You need soul up, which is kinda remedied, but also 2, the skill has a cast time, making it more of a pre-emptive thing rather than an emergency button, though the chance at autocast from shadowslash is nice. That said, I kinda wish there was a little something added to ciceda skin shedding, or reducing cooldowns on flip tatami (gotta love dodging falcons and bombs with random Japanese floormats in the middle of a Bricked Arena, or a rocky cave), But still it seems pretty OP on paper as is.
Quigong set- this set looks amazing, does it actually Soul Link the monk/champ wearing it? AoE combo finish, SP regen in fury, and cheaper combo skills? Yes plz! So much stuff to farm! *-*

Qigong: yes, you actually get Spirit of the Monk as if you are soul linked so you get every benefit possible.
Shadow set: yes we intend for ninjas to precast before going in, and no the assassination method with shadow slash can't be the only attack. Rather, if you are going in for the attack, you are no longer immediately dead cause you are now in melee. It also means ninja is less screwed without ice pick cause you have a crit attack to fall back to when throwing things aren't working.
Chem-aid set: follows same rule as any other autocast on another spell, so it'll be just like the BG gears in terms of cast delay waiting for animation if you want to manually cast again, but item skills will always fire off whenever the trigger is met regardless of animation. As for homunculus interaction, Impo skill will fire off but I do not think the homun is actually affected by it... or the homunculus's attack variation is too high of a range to really tell if impo is affecting it.
Black wing: it should be treated as manual cast of spell (but admittedly, never purposely tried the group interaction, and it was also hard to tell with this build which one is auto, and which one is manual once it starts firing off in testing)

Sorry, I had to review this set, it just feels so lacking
The Advanced angelic set feels somewhat underwhelming compared to the rest of the other class combo gears. Although the overall set is a pretty decent improvement from the existing one, when compared to all the other existing individual equipments available for novices to wear, the entire set falls short.
It offers a wider variety of skills for melee novices. But asides the buffs, I'm doubtful that the other skills will be of much improvement compared to what novices currently use to kill (mammonite/bolts), and due to its terrible stats overall, novices may just end up equipping the set for the use of its buffs, then switching gears.
A stat-enchantable novice armor would have been better. Reason being, there are already better substitutes for every part of this set, asides the armor (arguably). Or even, if each individual part had its own skill, so we can mix and match depending on our build.

Applicable Job : Novice melee novices (or any novices) don't really rely on hp recovery, since they have such bad HP pool. Resist/flee would have been more ideal, which means that Novice Manteau (for resist), and Sylphid Manteau (for flee) would be much more suitable.
SP recovery would have been much more suitable imo.

Applicable Job : Novice This shield is like a combination of Angelic Guard and Novice Shield, but is still worse than Novice shield, since it has the same def, but less resistance. The only situation I can see it being useful it if were extremely common (and this applies for the rest of the set), but thats difficult to compete against seeing as Novice Shield (and garment + shoes) are all available from the NPC.
Would have been nice to have the demon resist boosted, or add undead resist as well, to make it more of a situational shield, since the Novice Shield is already better for everything else.

Applicable Job : Novice We have festive jester hat, and valentines topper that both surpass its hp/sp. And, the 3% assumptio chance is considerably low, seeing as melee (flee) novices aren't meant to get hit very much. Maybe something like "1% chance to cast Kyrie Eleison lvl10 for every attack" might be more interesting.

Just musings around Storm and frozen sets.
I was planning on trying to get the Sage card combo set to further improve thunderstorm damage but then the Armor lacks a slot. #firstworldproblems
Frozen Set, I'm thinking I might want to sacrifice some int to fall back to that "Support" role. 80 Base int would make it so I could still do Okay-ish damage, and keep dex maxed and still get something like 50-ish vit to help further tank the stuffs. Autocast Deluge means I'm going to have Waterball on it, no questions asked. Safety Wall and Ice Wall (if only for trapping options and HP/Def boosts), as well as quagmire are musts, though I'm wondering how much knockback Sight trasher might have. Might be able to combo Sighttrasher into frost nova if the mobs can get back into that 5x5 cell range of your wiz. Will probably have phen on at all times though. With the low int of the build, not sure if it's worth going for LoV to break the ice over individual targets.
Snow ludes are being stingy, from what I see, Frost nova has like a 6~4 Second cast time without dex. 30% Cast reduction from the wand sounds like it'd be HUGE. It already has like an 85% success chance to freeze at lvl 10, and the extra 70% chance to freeze when it fails....
Haven't gotten to Ice titans yet, is the armor really 40 def? or is that a mis-type?
