Wrath of The King
Just minutes ago, news came from Carandel Palace regarding an incident during the dreamstone core's soul release test run planned for today.
The goal was to release the soul of King Farmond so Pixie and Lucretia could talk to him one last time. Amaria, Cynbel and Selene were present, handling the machine controlling the amount of souls that could be released, while the recently captured rebel, Andromallius, provided both snark and technical assistance, in exchange for a reduced sentence for his wife, accomplice, and fugitive, Crocell. Altjyhra and Abyza stood by as well, to ensure Amaria's soul extraction went as they instructed Amaria previously.
With the usual group of adventurers helping out as requested by Adelaide and Lucretia, dozens of spirits were put to rest per soul release attempt. Several tiring tries later, the group accepted Altjyhra's offer to attempt to find and release King Farmond's soul himself, and so he did.
Altjyhra quickly retreated far back as King Farmond materialized in front of the group, giving Pixie and Lucretia space to approach their father. While somehow substantially more aware than the other fallen fairies, Farmond was still confused and tormented after centuries trapped in the core. His last memory was about him slowly dying in the fields of the old archipelago, before a bright light laid waste to him, and ultimately all of Faeheim. But meeting his daughters made him feel joy again, an emotion that would not last long, for it was soon taken over by rage and resentment.
While Farmond hugged his two daughters, he finally noticed The Unknown's presence, and snapped. The spirit reproached his daughters for making a deal with the fiends, revealing that it was Altjyhra himself who dealt a final lethal strike at the king. He lunged towards The Unknowns Altjyhra and Malcanthet, who quickly fled in fear, leaving the adventurers to fight a battle they would not win.
The King enveloped the room in a magic field preventing resurrection, leaving many to be unable to come back from the thorough knockouts he delivered. Eventually catching up with his daughters Pixie and Lucretia, Farmond grabbed them and attempted to escape, but in a surprising twist, was attacked by the captive Andromallius, who had done away with his cuffs in the fight. The rebel high wizard fought fiercely, but was ultimately brutally struck down by the king, who took his daughters against their will. Andromallius' last words were something along the lines of: "I don't like the royal family, but I wasn't going to let this guy just walk all over us".
In the fight, the soul release machine was badly damaged, and was freeing spirits endlessly. The group fled the basement, and Amaria sent golems to storm in to stop the machine and the spirits. Any remaining spirits that escaped were defeated, but the team found no signs of King Farmond, Pixie, Lucretia, or The Unknown who had escaped earlier.
With the Queen and the next in line for the throne kidnapped by their own father's spirit, Prince Pico was officialized as King until Pixie was available to lead again. Many worry about his qualifications to lead a nation, to which General Cynbel and Queen Pima have stated they would do their best to mold and guide him to become a stately figure.
Fearing the old king's threats of "fixing everything", and "ending The Unknown once and for all", a nationwide search for Pixie, Lucretia, and Farmond begins. But what of The Unknown themselves? Were they not close to a violent revolt due to Altjyhra's failures?
The next event is a solely RP one, taking place next Friday, November 23 at 8:00 PM EST, lasting approximately 1 hour. It will involve Pico's rule as a king. There will be no PVM involved.

Pico & The Throne
There's been little movement in the past week from Faeheim or their temporary ruler, Prince Pico, aside from intense search party efforts to rescue Pixie and Lucretia from the clutches of the spirit of father, Farmond.
As the sun set earlier today, Cimeies took advantage of Faeheim's weakened state to storm Caerulia palace once more, this time succeeding in capturing it. Together with Crocell and an apparently once-again resurrected Amdusias, they drove out all guards, military, and even the warpers from Caerulia. As with their last invasion, they did not kill or seriously injure a single person, and rewired the golems to attack intruders.
One of our reporters head for the Fortuna Tavern where Prince Pico can usually be found, and encountered a group trying to convince him to be more proactive as King to address the issues of Pixie and Lucretia's kidnapping, The Unknown, and Cimeies. She sat nearby to take notes, and managed to obtain details of the information.
After much discussion in which Pico was, for the most part, unwilling to do anything resembling useful, the group managed to convince him to act on the Caerulia palace situation. The Prince accepted the people's input regarding the next course of action, which was to have troops storm Caerulia Palace and take it back.
However, during the conversation, worrying information was revealed. Pico let it slip that the Unknown Chiefs Altjyhra and Abyza had been overthrown by the previous Unknown's leader. They fled their hideout and are currently residing in Carandel Palace.
At the time of this article, three different forces threaten Faeheim as we know it. Escaped convict, and nationalist Cimeies, along with former usurping general Amdusias, have captured the sky city of Caerulia seeking to establish their own isolationist government free of other nations' "interference" or input of any kind. Meanwhile, Pixie and Lucretia remain missing after the spirit of their father, King Farmond, took them, wishing to destroy The Unknown once and for all. And lastly, The Unknown themselves, beings from the Demon Realm who went to war with the fairies long ago, have apparently now overthrown their leaders, and are preparing for battle.
We set to the streets shortly after to ask people's opinions on the matter, and the general consensus on the street was that while they weren't fond of Pixie and Lucretia's stances as of late, they still somewhat trusted them to make the hard choices in these matters. Their hope is that they can be rescued as soon as possible.
The next event will take place tonight at 8PM EST. About 9 hours remain until then!
We'll be storming Caerulia to put an end to Crocell, Cimeies and Amdusias once and for all!

The Fall of Caerulia Palace
Caerulia Palace has fallen, as have its captors!
Yesterday afternoon, Caerulia Palace was stormed by Faeheim Forces. The team, composed of Cynbel's soldiers, Selene's trusty adventurer group, and even Altjyhra and Abyza, got through the palace grounds, which had been riddled with deadly land mines, and encountered Crocell, wife of deceased rebel Andromallius, who died defending Pixie's group days ago from the spirit of King Farmond.
Crocell was confused and conflicted. Her recent acts were done out of resentment for Pixie's government, who had imprisoned her husband, but now that he died for his captors, she wondered if losing her husband and potentially never seeing her children again was all worth it. The heroes talked her out of another battle, and she turned herself in, not before offering some words of advice: Don't kill Cimeies, or he will become a martyr for extremists like him.
With those words in mind, the team entered the palace, and took down Cimeies after a lengthy session of mind games and stalling from his part. Only Amdusias was left, but he wasn't acting like the strong powerful figure he showed to be in the past. He was resigned to his fate, to die in battle once more. The fallen general did not care to win the fight against the throne himself, for as he claimed, his message had gotten across to the people: Faeheim, and by extension, the rest of the world, will progress much better without a monarchy.
After a long battle, Amdusias was once again defeated, with Ezekiel Stalker landing the final blow again, no less. With the former general's soul presumably trapped in a dreamstone crystal Cynbel carried, and with Cimeies in cuffs one more, the extremist rebellion had been put to rest, but it wasn't over yet. Someone, presumably Cimeies due to his earlier actions, had hidden timed explosives throughout the whole palace, as the team soon found out.
Despite the utter destruction of the palace, everyone escaped unharmed, and managed to return to Caerulia with Altjyhra and Abyza's help. Cimeies was given 20 more years to his 30 year sentence, for his recent crimes, while Crocell was given a significantly reduced sentence of 3 years plus 7 in probation, due to turning herself in, and an agreement Andromallius struck to assist in the previous dreamstone experiment.
With the extremist rebellion dismantled once more, the rescue of Pixie and Lucretia is underway. We have received information just this morning that Pima believes her daughters are in the old Faeheim Archipelago, at a beach where she and her husband Farmond used to visit. Rescue efforts will take place next week, while yet another battle against the king's spirit will surely take place.
The next event will take place on Saturday December 1st at 8:00 PM EST! It will involve both RP and PVM!

The Secrets We Bury
"Yeah yeah, do whatever you want. I already gave you full security clearance to all parts of the palace." A hurried Prince Pico replied.
Selene nodded. "Thanks... your highness." She waited for Pico to leave for the auction planning room, before leaving herself, but to a different place.
"Finally... The Vault..." She thought to herself, as she entered a large room containing books, scrolls, parchments and all else one could think of. She had her mind on something she overheard Pima mention to Cynbel and Pico, and now she would finally find out what it was. "Let's see what this 'Last Resort' is all about and why they don't want the King's spirit to find it..."
She used her keycard to gain access to a rather large, yet somewhat empty safe, protected by layers of metals as thick as the columns of the palace itself. After a quick search, she finally found a file labeled "Last Resort".
Upon reading its contents, her devious smile changed to sheer horror. "Those bastards..." She thought to herself, reaching for her bag to start taking pictures of the file, and some enclosed blueprints.
Reminder: the next event will take place on Saturday December 1st at 8:00 PM EST! It will involve both RP and PVM!
What is Last Resort? Why does Pima, mother of Pixie, Lucretia and Pico, want her deceased husband's spirit to away from it? How does this all tie with The Unknown, who are still rather quiet except for their overthrown leaders Altjyhra and Abyza? Find out on the next event!
Our team will be the first to reach the old Faeheim Archipelago, the land where fairies lived before the war between Humans, The Unknown and The Fae. Before us, only Lucretia's team had been there for a short time, before moving and finding the lands they now live in. And before them, it is believed that no one had set foot in the mainland for centuries.
Who knows what awaits us, or if Pixie and Lucretia are even alive. But be prepared for both dialogue with the characters involved, and a long fight against King Farmond!

The End of The Path We Took
Just hours ago, a team lead by Agent Selene Winterfield from the International Peacekeeper Task Force arrived on the southwest shores of the old Faeheim Archipelago. Their mission: To rescue Pixie and Lucretia from the spirit of their father, King Farmond.
Past a makeshift camp where the two women were suspected to have stayed, and several scuffles with the wildlife later, they found Pixie, who explained they had calmed down Farmond and planned to put him to rest when distracted. According to some, it would have proven a foolish and deadly decision, judging from the team's last fight with the old king.
As the team conversed with Pixie, Lucretia and a confused King Farmond arrived, the latter of which was quickly calmed down by his daughters, fearing a fit of overprotective rage towards the rescue party. But, the tranquility was fleeting, as Selene, uncharacteristically hostile, wanted to put Farmond to rest there and then, claiming he was a serious threat to Faeheim and the world.
She revealed to have found files and blueprints for a weapon that Former Queen Pima feared Farmond would use on The Unknown to destroy them once and for all. And so, a third secret from Faeheim Government was revealed, this one called "Last Resort", with a chilling story behind it.
History Wrote:Centuries ago, at the height of the war between the fairies, humans and The Unknown, the latter's forces were overwhelming the fae's forces, and slowly approaching the capital. Their defeat seemed imminent, and far more terrifying than a simple loss against the humans, so King Farmond came up with a plan to end the war and save his people. He left with Pima a functional prototype and blueprints of an invetion of his called "Last Resort", and set out for the battlefield. Farmond fought fiercely against the unknown as a diversion, as Pima began carrying out the plan, evacuating the remaining fairies out of Faeheim. The King ultimately fell as expected, to none other than Altjyhra, and so Pima became queen. With the Unknown now overly confident, they marched for the capital, unwary that Pima had sealed their fate. Once the Faeheim ships loaded with refugees were at a safe distance, Last Resort was set off on Faeheim.
An enormous bright light, followed by a massive magical blast wiped out nearly all of The Unknown, the human troops, and Faeheim itself. Those who survived became sick, and died later on as well. The land was rendered uninhabitable, contaminated by a dense magical aura. The war ended with little agreements between humans and fae, The Unknown retreated for centuries, and what really happened was covered up by Queen Pima as a "catastrophic failure at a laboratory". She kept the files and blueprints on last resort hidden so that no nation, human, fae or otherwise, could use it, or that if another was built, it could be brought down.
Now, Farmond wanted to use it again to lay waste to The Unknown and their hiding place.
Pixie, Lucretia and the adventurers attempted to diffuse the situation to avoid fighting the king again, but to no avail. Selene stubbornly insisted that the king must be put down before he could build another last resort, while Farmond argued The Unknown must be completely destroyed before he could be put to rest. Seeing the futility of the discussion, Farmond's daughters yielded, and sided with Selene: The King must be put to rest. At his request, Pixie and Lucretia watched from afar, and a grueling battle ensued between Farmond and Selene's team.
The outcome looked bleak. Fueled by hatred, the king only unleashed stronger attacks as the battle went on. The tema did not let up either, but they had their limits. An hour into the fight, however, the fighters received unexpected help. Altjyhra appeared to assist in the fight, but even he was no match. In the end, he teleported everyone away to a nearby island to recover, where he broke out some bad news: The Unknown plan to launch a full force attack on Faeheim in the next few days. Their new leader's plan is to take the dreamstone core, not to flee into the realm of dreams, but to consume the stored energies and remain in Midgard. Much like Farmond, they could no longer be reasoned with and just given the core.
Now, two deadly forces are set to converge in full force: The Unknown, lead by their previous, more violent leader, threatening to ravage Faeheim to take the Dreamstone Core, and King Farmond, who, with or without the files on Last Resort, plans to build it. Should he succeed, The Unknown's hideout, wherever it may be, will be utterly blasted to hell, as will everything in a large radius. Should he fail to properly rebuild Last Resort, he might blow himself to hell, but everything nearby as well.
After returning to Carandel and hosting an extensive press conference explaining the situation, Queen Pixie has assigned certain officials the duty of protecting a particular town during the upcoming attacks from The Unknown, while Amaria has been strengthening the golem security systems to better protect the region. Additionally, Selene has informed us that both the International Peacekeeper Task Force and the usual adventurers she employs, will be ready to fight to defend the nation. When asked about the recent revokation of her security clearance by Pixie, she expressed there are "no hard feelings" over the matter, as she was only doing her duty to keep the peace.
Every individual involved in this latest story have taken their own path, and it has, for better or worse, brought them all to this point. With the experience of past crises similar to this, and the threat of new destruction looming over Faeheim once more, we can only hope all decisions taken leads the nation into peace once again.
We are in the endgame now! The next event will happen on Saturday December 8, at 7:00 PM EST! It will take place in all four towns of Faeheim, which will be invaded by The Unknown! Your mission is to protect the towns by keeping the following characters alive from monsters that will spawn near the coordinates below:
- Cynbel - Fortuna 161, 100 (Terrace, Upper Area)
- Selene - Marasmius 39 367 (Top Left, Near Warpers)
- Lucretia - Tessera 154 171 (South of Town, Near Entrance)
- Pixie - Carandel 152 153 (North of Town Square, Near Palace)
These characters will be autotrading on GM accounts using Buying Stores. They have all stats at 1, approximately 100k HP, 35% damage reduction from all sources, 10% long range reduction, cannot be knocked back, cannot be resurrected, but can be healed, buffed, etc.
The four characters must survive for a set time, which is to be announced. Be warned that chiefs of The Unknown will personally descend upon the towns to participate in battle at some point. In the battle's chaos, anything may happen, so be prepared and listen to announcements during the time of the event.
There's several parts to this event, which I'll keep a surprise for you, but expect this event to last at least 3 hours in total. Players are free to join in as they please by warping to one of the 4 towns to participate at any time while the event is taking place on them.
